I ordered some stuff for Gladys on Monday and was told they would deliver to the house. I explained that we don't normally get deliveries here, they go to the bar.

I was assured they would deliver to me, here at Monte das Aguinhas on Tuesday.

So yesterday morning I rang them and was told that some-one in Castro Verde, called Maria Graça had signed and paid for the delivery. Which made her and me wonder "why"????  And also Castro Verde is about 20 kilometres from us and definately not Encalho or even Ourique

So we re-ordered the stuff for me.

Had a text from a friend to say the parcel we'd been waiting for before Christmas had finally arrived at the bar - so off we went. Yes, there was a parcel for us :Hi: :Hi: with our pressies - okay, late, but at least we got it.

Then Maria Odette came out - with my stuff for Gladys :o :o The post office had delivered them to bar, as normal, and as she recognised my name, very kindly paid for it :o :o :D :D :D

So we had to come home, get the money and then drive back down to the bar, give it to her.

I rang the company, to cancel my order and explain - what's the betting another parcel arrives today?

LOL, here you'd have to provide every available sort of ID just to prise a parcel or a letter out of the local Royal Mail sorting office .... :D
