So it's persisting down ,we caught a bus to go to THE RANGE superstore, asked the driver -he said where's that?
my reply-it's in HILSEA-oh yeah he says, told us when to get off ,we ended up walking about 1 1/2 miles to find it
and guess what? it's where the bus ends his run and starts his return journey.

Well thanks a bunch T***er.

is this what the country has become?

Oh dear! How annoying Vic :( The bus drivers here tend to be really good. They often get out of the cab to help disabled passengers or the elderly on and off, and I've lost count of the times that one has waited for me while I've run for the bus! So different from where I used to live :cute:

They're pretty good with things like that around here too Kaz.

I suppose that if you'd asked for the retail park or street where The Range is then you'd have had a better experience Vic.

Vic, a lot depends on the driver, and some of them are a55holes.

I might have mentioned this before, but a few weeks ago a young girl was on the X84. It is a limited service and does not drop off till the ring road, about six miles from Leeds city centre. She was new to the area and wanted to get off at Headingley, but he was having none of it. He drove her all the way to the ring road before stopping, and that was near 10 pm on a Friday night.

I was getting off at the same stop and felt that I could not leave her alone in a place she did not know on a dark night. We got to my car and I drove her back to Headingley and the care home where she worked. I cared, the driver didn't.

Frank, John and our friend got a bus back from Lichfield a while ago after a night out and there was a teenage girl on there who was being harrassed by a drunk. John and our friend were keeping an eye on her in a protective Dad kind of way. The driver stopped and told the drunk to get off and he refused to so he said that he was going to radio for the police. Our friend said there was no need and flashed his card. He's CID. It was near to our friend's house so he hauled the drunk off and left John to keep an eye on the girl, who was in tears. They'd already got her to phone home to ask someone to meet her at her stop and the driver waited for a few minutes until the person turned up.

Jo, it just goes to show how different all the drivers, and passengers, are.
