I'm going to take my bucket and spade and have a paddle in the sea.

Good morning Ally and all!

It's dry here at the moment after yet more rain overnight. John's given up on the muddy trails on the Chase so he's cycling along the lanes to Ironbridge this morning. I'm just preparing veg for a casserole for the slow cooker. Watching football with Joe this afternoon.

We dropped Tom back yesterday evening and he asked us in for a drink so we had a lovely hour chatting in the kitchen with him and his flat mate Shannon. She's the girl he'll be sharing the new flat with from September, such a lovely girl.

I might need to pop down to Argos and get a new battery radio later too. The one I have in the bathroom suddenly stopped getting FM yesterday and now all I can pick up to listen to while I'm in the shower in the BBC Asian Network on FM.

Have a good day all!

It's suddenly gone very foggy here.

Kaz, that sounds like it'll be lovely!

Yes, he's got good friends to share with next year. They've been having a few problems with the one girl this year. She and her boyfriend are sharing and he's one of the two lads in the flat who are in the armed forces (the other is very focused on his military career). She's incredibly clingy and it's affecting his future. He was supposed to be on a training exercise last Autumn and she was so upset about him being away - for a week! - that he dropped out with an injury ( ) at the last minute. He's having to do it this coming week though, or it's going to affect his degree and his army career to the point that he could be told to leave, so she's gone home to her parents (missing lectures) as she says that she can't bear to be there without him.
Apparently he's got to go away again next month, for up to four weeks, and he's not been able to face telling her yet. The other three are dreading the fall out when he does.

Ton, hope that yoga goes well!

Good morning all.

We're having a quiet day today. I've been busy installing some extra electric sockets this morning.
They never seen to put enough in nowadays, do they? Will take a rest this afternoon.

If anyone is interested, BBC1 is doing a repeat of two of their Spy In The Wild programmes his afternoon
at 4.05pm. Well worth watching.

Hope you are all well, and have a pleasant day.

Morning :)
Dull here, with a really biting cold wind.
Just had bacon butties for brunch though :)

Greek sounds good Kaz, I love Greek food :D
Jo that girl sounds a nightmare, Tom will be glad to get away from all that.
Good luck with the yoga Ton :)
Ally sounds like you and your friends are having a fab weekend :)

Not much going on here, except I'm going to make parmesan oaty biscuits - I need something savoury for when I'm peckish, having given up sugar for February ;)
Easy dinner as it's the second half of w/rose Ras El Hanout chicken, just stick it in the oven - I guess we will need something with it though :)
Have a good day all

Afternoon all, gorgeous day here after a heavy frost overnight, just the sort of winter weather I like. We went for a walk down the pier and along the prom this morning, bumped into Miss Osc and the children which was lovely. Came back and Mr Osc made some peanut butter cookies, different recipe than normal, not his usual recipe, but still edible ;) I made bacon and lentil soup, how did I live without a soupmaker  He is now watching rugby and I am going to knit. Two of our favourite programmes on tonight, looking forward to them. Enjoy your Sunday :D
