Mushy peas

Yummy.
They were soaked overnight with a tablet of bicarb. Now that they have been rinsed a cauldron of them is bubbling away nicely. I have just put in ΒΌ teaspoon of bicarb to drive off the acid so they should be ready in about ten mins. Then I can sugar and salt then to get the taste just right and it will be pork pie and mushy peas for lunch.
