Good morning.

Back from my run at 7.59am to avoid the heat! 8-) 8-)

I've also just come home to the breaking news in Manchester. :( :( :(

I've not had, nor will have, time to read all the posts from the past week so just hope you are all well. xx

Morning everyone.

Feeling very sober at this dreadful news, and just to let you know that our Poll was at the Manchester Arena last night, with her daughter, but thank God they are ok, and on their way home now to Scotland.

I have known P a very long time, she was my first online friend from the DM Femail days, and I feel quite weepy with relief, having seen some of the dreadful scenes on the news.

My thoughts are with the dead and injured.

Good morning,
We went to the first event at the Arena when it opened. It was Torvill & Dean after they had won the skating at the Olympics.
I know the area well as I used to work in Manchester and get the train into Victoria station.
I shed a few tears watching the news.
Out shopping this morning.
Dancing tonight
Prayers and vibes for the victims

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here.

Feeling sad for the families affected by the attack in Manchester

We're up reasonably early, well for us anyway  E's got an appointment with the dentist, not sure what's happening this morning, think he's having a preliminary fitting. Afterwards we'll pop into town to pick up some fruit and salad bits.

We got quite a lot done in the garden yesterday afternoon, want to go over to the garden centre after lunch, need some new plants. Also tree bark chippings to sprinkle between new and existing plants to suppress the weeds, usually does the trick nicely.

Hope you all have a good day :D

So sad what has happened. Glad Paula and Amy are safe.
Have just phoned my sister in Rochdale to make sure they are all
ok there.
The Stroke consultant finally phoned yesterday after i got my Doctor to contact him.
The news is good. There was no sign of anything untoward on the MRI scan and it
all looked satisfactory so Don did`nt have another stroke thank god.
He apologised and said he thought that he had told us that he would`nt phone if there
was nothing to report (he did`nt but i let that go as we were relieved to hear from him)
God bless the poor people who are victims of this atrocity.

A very sad morning indeed - I really just don't get the mindset of the people who do this kind of thing. Glad to hear Pol and daughter are safe and on their way home; but what a memory to be leaving with. Poor them. My heart breaks for the families affected by this

Well sort of usual / usual for me; meeting a friend for lunch which will be nice but then looking forward to the evening home. Yesterday I had to leave early to pop in to the vet to have a chat with him about Harry, then jump back on the train to my station - get into the car and drive back to the vet to collect Harry (wasn't going to take him on the train poor thing) which meant getting home after 8pm. Thankfully all is OK(ish) and he's booked in for surgery next week. And best is that it turns out the problem is something totally new so neither the vet, nor I, see any reason why the insurance could refuse to pay up. Phew!, cause it's costing a bucket load of money

Have a lovely day all x

Such a sad morning isn't it.

I'm absolutely sickened about what happened last night, but thankful that my friend's two daughters weren't injured. J and her husband were outside the arena waiting for them, then they realised that something awful had happened but couldn't make contact with the girls for a time. Glad Paula and her daughter are okay too.

Have a good day all xx

Morning all :)
Dull and grey but warm

Just dreadful isn't it, and heart-lurching when people you know were there.
Thank goodness Poll and her daughter, and your friends Jo, are safe. It's bound to have a big lasting effect though.

Fairly lazy day here
