Yes indeed, the egg diet. :P

One is always on a diet of some sort in this household  ...... and they do work, more or less :D. But whilst every diet is often successful the first time you do it, it's less so thereafter, I find, especially for ostriches.

What is interesting is that one of the most successful diets I've ever done was the 7-day GM (General Motors of America) diet, which involved at least one set day on nothing but bananas and milk  . Over the years, this has been roundly rubbished by nutritionists and dieticians, so on, as a quack diet .... however, it was interesting to see it heavily promoted in a Times supplement a couple of weeks back as the "go-to" diet of 2017 if you want to get your body toned up for the beach!

What goes around, comes around, I guess, especially if it's a fad ...

I remember the Mayo Clinic diet featured a lot of eggs. And grapefruit :? I love eggs ( and eat one at least, most days ;) ) but not so keen on grapefruit! It promised a 20lb loss in two weeks  but I only lasted three days.....

That was many many years ago :geek:
