A coffee, a swim then chilling out by the pool. :D :D

We're meeting friends in town tonight as it's Mari-Carmen's birthday so a few beers and a Chinese meal. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally and everyone

Cloudy and pleasantly cool here 8-) and the wind has dropped, thankfully.

Heldar is here to sort out the leaking outside tap - he put it in for the shower and the piping is bent at too much of an angle, so has now stripped the thread.

Then we're heading down to the bottom of the filed and putting up plastic fencing, to stop those blasted ducks. Quite clever, it's only taken them a week to realize they can get out of next door where he hasn't finished putting up the netting and then through our bottom fence and into our field

Off to the Palma tonight, there's 7 of us, should be a good night :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all!

Heavy showers and thunderstorms forecast for the West Country .... :?

Off shortly to Bishop Sutton, which is somewhere south of Bristol, for today's footy match. The trick will be plotting a course to avoid holiday traffic - apparently the M4, M5 and A303 locally were chaotic last night on the first day of the school holiday getaway, with that perennial old favourite, the Overturned Caravan or two. It used to be just Saturdays for motoring mayhem; now it's Friday evenings and Sundays as well apparently.

Hope you all have a stress-free day, whatever you're doing .... :D

Duck risotto?

On the BBC news yesterday Ossie it was reported to be the busiest day for flights.

It then showed a chart over southern England with what seemed like a zillion dots..each dot representing a flight.

Good luck getting to your chosen footy match..I shall look forward to your report. :Hi:

Morning all :D

We had rain overnight, but it's lovely and sunny right now.

Ally you deserve a chill by the pool after yesterday.

Jan hope the new fencing works and you can keep the ducks out. Enjoy your evening.

We've had a nice lie in and plan to have a reasonably lazy day. Got some washing to do and really need to whiz round the house, but that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

That's them sorted :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

60 metres of netting now in place - need another 10 metres  to finish it off, so the plan on the deeds is wrong, will have to rectify that.

Lovely and sunny now, not too hot, so Grumpy can render the pool wall where they put the cable in the other day.

And Heldar, finally, has ordered the railing, to go over the rather long drop down to the pump room. :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Our pump room has a top that you lift Jan and then climb down the steps attached (like a ladder) to the bottom. Do you know, in the 13 years I've lived in this house I've been down there twice.

That's Don's domain.

Good afternoon all.

It's not very pleasant here, weather-wise. We've been shopping in town this morning,
and I've bought a new wristwatch, because I'm without my proper one, which needs a
new battery, and, because it's an expensive presentation watch, has to be returned to
the makers for this to be fitted. I was surprised yesterday how many tines I looked at
the hairs on the back of my wrist to see the time, and as I didn't want to be doing this
for the next fortnight, I decided to buy another one. Actually, for only £10 I am quite
pleased with it.

Hope you all have a lovely day.
