Good morning. :D

Hot. 8-) 8-)

A swim, coffee and then plan to have the laziest time lying by the pool with a fabby book. :D :D

I'm making prawn, chorizo & tagliatelle for Don and I. It's been rather hectic here of late so dinner à deux will be rather nice. ;) ;) :D

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Ally and all, it's a sunny one here.

We all sat outside with hot drinks and watched the Perseids last night, we saw a lot :D

Off out to walk Billy in a minute and then off to the station with Joe at lunchtime for a train to Manchester for the football.

Tom leaves for London while we're gone. He's staying with his friend in Marylebone and then they all fly out to Kavos tomorrow. He's now questioning his sanity at agreeing to go, he said it sounded like a good idea at the time

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Ally that sounds like a plan ;)

Jo he'll have a blast! Enjoy the footie :D

Morning Cruiser :)

Well the sun is shining here so we're off to the garden centre :D We need something as a 'marker' for a manhole cover, two of which are under the gravel down the side of the house. We've had a big pot with a grass in, and while the twin to it marking the other manhole is fine, this is the second one to die in this spot! So we think a stone ornament of some sort.

Have a good day everyday :) xx

Morning all :)
Lovely here, so we'll be going to the seafood festival. Bb will be all right, the grilled cheese co has a stall :)
It's in the gardens by the marina, with bandstand, there's live music all day too :)

Hope you all have a good day
x

Morning everyone

Warm, but smokey   Huge fires up north and the smoke is drifting down. But still hot

Late start as we were out until whatever time last night, waiting for the meteor shower, just got a bit piddled instead, waiting for it

And there is something rather decadent about swimming at night, with just the pool lights on 8-) 8-) with a glass of wine at the side of the pool. never thought we'd have a pool, never thought I'd be in it at 1.30 am either

Athletics this afternoon, more swimming, athletics tonight. And well done our boys, brilliant :Hi: :Hi:

Have a lovely time Di, sounds good :D

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

  Jan.

We'll be meteor watching tonight. ;) ;)

We find skinny dipping in the wee small hours a fine way to cool down before bed.

Well! There are people on here who are no better than they should be! (Hitches bosom judgementally).

Ignore me, I'm just jealous. Skinny dipping around here at 1.30 am wouldn't be recommended. There's definitely been an autumnal tinge to the weather in the last couple of days. Plus the skinny dipping would have to be at Wintersett nature reserve and there are mink about up there you know! Nasty little divils, them.

We are again hosting West Yorkshire's happiest man, my FiL, today for dinner. I hope my ribs don't crack under the weight of his non-stop good humour and wisecracks.

Lovely weather though, blue skies and high fluffy white clouds. Have a good one everybody.

Oh dear Cromwell, he does sound delightful ;)

We've been, it wasn't starting till 11, good job we got there about then!
Hordes of people, streaming in by car, by bike and on foot, no doubt some by boat as well since it was right by the marina.
Loads of lovely stalls with delicious food, but tbh a bit too early for the likes of crispy squid :)
We did get a rather nice new pestle and mortar (mine broke a while ago), much cheaper than the ones I'd seen in the shops.
And a decent free canvas bag from the poshest estate agent, with their brochure in.
The first property in there is £6,750,000
I might put a link on the propriety board in case anyone's looking 8-) ;) :D
