Conor & Lucia are coming over for lunch today.

Last week Jacob was having a mooch through my recipe sheets (the folder I have with cut outs from magazines etc) and he spotted a recipe for 'man burgers' and asked if I'd make them. Whilst I was out last night he went to Mercadona and bought everything that was needed.

Meeting the gang tonight for the usual beers and tapas.

Morning everyone

We were in bed early last night, have only just put the Breakfast news on and seen the horrifying scenes from Barcelona Just awful

We have sunshine here this morning, hopefully that will last D rang last evening to let me know she was home, and we're off to either Sainsbury's or Morrison's this morning. Ironing to do this afternoon.

My sister rang last night with some sad news, my nephews's girlfriend Hollie, who lives with them, had a huge shock a few days ago, when she heard out of the blue that her dad has inoperable brain tumours He had been having a few issues such as speech slurring, but it was his chiropractor who told him to see a doctor urgently, and that was the outcome.

Hollie is Australian, so she and my nephew got on the earliest plane they could and are out there right now. Phill is coming back next weekend, but Hollie will probably be staying, at least in the short term. Her dad is only 57, a very fit and active builder with his own company, and this is a big shock for their whole family, so can I please ask for some VV vibes? Hollie is such a lovely girl!

Good morning all, it's sunny here but there's a very cool breeze.

Billy's had a 90 minute walk, there seemed to be a lot of people on the common this morning despite it being early which is unusual. Got some ironing to do now and then I'll do some steam cleaning.

Awful news from Barcelona

Kaz, Phil and Hollie were the lovely couple you posted a photo of a while ago? That's very sad news Sending lots of vibes xx

I met two of my students in town last Friday and they told me they were off to Barcelona on Wednesday. I've no way of knowing if they are ok.

Off to Castro this morning, to sort out what out internet provider are trying to do now Something to do with the on-going contract, as far as I can make out, so need to have a chat with the lady in the shop rather than trying to do it on the phone, when they profess to either can't understand my Portuguese or pretend not to speak English
