Traumatic Thursday

Postby Weka » 09 Sep 2017, 02:04

I never thought the day would come where I would need to have to perform CPR. Thursday was that day. Thanks to our emergency services who were there within 4 mins of me calling 111, the phone operator who gave me confidence that I could get a man out of a van on my own when I doubted my strength and to all the instructors on all those first aid courses I've done over the years who give their time to teach. The ambulance crew were wonderful doing their best to perform a miracle, but unfortunately the gentleman didn't survive. My thoughts are with his family and friends, his funeral is on Sunday.
I encourage everyone to learn CPR. I feel like I did the best I could, and not wishing I could have done more.

You did your best Weka which was very admirable. I'm sorry the outcome wasn't the best one.
