Cool at the moment, but hotting up to about 35C later

Up early, as we're off to Aljustrel for the heart monitor. Will pop into Pingo on the way back and see if they have any of those gert lush bangers, for breakfast.

I have the intention of cleaning all the wall light shades today - hopefully, they'll just come off, rather than have a spring on them otherwise, no doubt, I'll break them, putting them back on

Well usual work day for me and then home via Sainsbury to pick up the last of the essentials for my holiday; then home to pack it all up Which no doubt will involve removing a cat from the suitcase a few times; anything new and they're so inquisitive

But the rather lush burgers were on special, so bought some of them and had them in butties instead

Lightshades came off very easily, now they have to go back on

Afternoon It was nice enough earlier, but has clouded over now. I walked up to Miss Osc's house to use her washing machine and it was very pleasant in the sunshine. There has been a distinct drop in temperature - for several months the lowest temperature in the house has been 22 but the last couple of days it has dropped to 19 just about crawled up to 20 today

I've been doing a lot of packing organisation this morning in advance of doing most of the packing tomorrow, trying to reduce it to the absolute minimum as I have only paid for 15kg check in cases. It's not so much the clothes but the "other" stuff - I have pared my toilet bag down to the minimum, small sizes in everything but it still seems heavy We were even weighing shoes the other day Just about to have my lunch, then I will go and collect the washing from Miss Osc's. When I get back I'll do some h/work as I do like to leave the house fairly clean and tidy when we go away.

Have you seen that Ryanair are changing their hand luggage policy from November 1st Osc?

We only found out when Don booked us flights to go to the UK early December.
