Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 15 Sep 2017, 05:56

Good morning. :D

Hot and sunny. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Going for a swim shortly then getting ready to go back into Malaga with Don.

We had a fantastic day yesterday (the Francis Bacon exhibition was great) but we'd been shopping beforehand and Don had spotted a shirt in H&M that he liked. Unlike me who would have purchased it on the spot, hubby decided to 'have a think' about it, which he did, thinking on the bus coming home last night that he wished he'd bought it!

I don't mind as he's promised to buy me lunch in our favourite little restaurant.

Usual Friday beers and tapas tonight. :D :D

Safe travels and wonderful holidays to Ria and Osc. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Same here Jan - let us know what you go for! I do fancy a restyle but it can't be a short one :?

So like most, it's a day of sunshine and showers, I did a bedding wash last night and was able to hang out and get them dry today - just! Been to Durham this morning, as per. I had a full loyalty card for eyebrow threading so had that done, exchanged a credit note in Sports Direct for two pairs of quite bright leggings (LOL!!) and of course had coffee and cake in Esquires today, for a change. Sad to see many places closing down in the city, whilst it's beauty is tainted by an ugly pair of cranes in the city centre rebuilding an old (70s built) shopping centre into student accommodation, and a cinema....they've been on with it well over a year and still no end in sight! It does grieve me that the powers that be can change this beautiful city, and not always for the better Oh AND while I was there, I nipped into Speccys (Specsavers for the uninitiated  ) to have a hearing screening. I have tinnitus to start with but lately I am having to turn the tv up louder than normal and ask people to repeat things....luckily I heard all the tones on the monitor so all appears well 8-)

As an aside, I had another blood test this week to check my thyroid and the results were clear. Which of course is excellent news, but still means we are none the wiser re the whole heart thing in July.....

Have a good rest of Friday, and safe travels/happy holidays to Ria and Osc!! xxxx

Good afternoon all!

It's turned noticeably colder down here in the last few days, and Mrs O has migrated into the back bedroom of the house for the winter months, as it seems to be quite a bit warmer on the south side. We haven't put the central heating on yet to any great degree, but we're not far away now ....

To Waitrose this morning, which was full of elderly ex-military types "What-ho"-ing and snapping flashy salutes to each other.  We had breakfast there (just a couple of toasties and coffee) and Mrs O is now preparing aubergines and courgettes in a vegetable bake for tea.
