They list 17 Best Buys Ria, here are the top 4 price low to high:

Bosch WTB84200GB White £269.99
Zanussi ZDC8202P White £284
White Knight ECO43A White £322.99
Bosch WTB84200GB White Read £369.99

Prices then jump to £500 and above. If it helps we've had a Bosch model, in the last house for over 7 years, this one since we moved here 3 years ago and I use it for almost all our washing, absolutely hate ironing, we're delighted with it.

FWIW, we had a Zanussi condenser type tumble dryer up in Birmingham. We must have bought it 10 years ago at least.
The upside was that it was relatively inexpensive, slimline so it fitted nicely in a corner, and had a big enough capacity for 3 of us.
The downside was that the drain hose to the water bucket wasn't brilliant and occasionally leaked, and that it was a pig to defluff. Kept me happily amused for hours ... :D
It was one of the appliances we culled on moving down here. We'd rate Zanuzzi pretty highly, actually, based on other white-wear we've bought from them; this, however, was a one-off, a bit of a disappointment.

Now we just use the rotary washing line. Removing the industrial-sized cobwebs from the over-active Dorset spiders keeps me happily amused for hours.

Ossie, I used to have one and then gave it away; it was a sensor dry that you couldn't change the setting and everything came out just that bit of damp still so it was perfect for ironing - well I don't iron so all it did was annoy me!

I use the outside line as much as I can in the summer so that's not a problem, but I'm tired of my flat looking like a laundry during the winter months with things taking forever and a day to dry; so figured things like towels and bedding will be so much easier dealt with in a drier than trying to dry by hanging over a door frame. I'm hoping to use it as little as possible, but it'll be good to have one when needed

Meriad, what we bought down here was those racks which you just hang over the top of the radiators.

Argos do them:

But we got ours from the local ironmongers ...... anyway, they seem to do the trick now that we've started using the central heating a bit. Obviously for smaller clothes, tea towels and bedlinen only, not sheets and duvets. Those still have to go over the door frame ... :D

Having worked in a launderette for years it really is quicker and easier to use there dryers in one go
I always hang as much as I can on coat hangers even skirts and jeans
And then hang them on a door frame
Everything drys quickly I never dry stuff by putting it on a radiator and I never iron I use a upright metal clothes dryer for sheets towels and duvet covers

Saundra, I'm out of the house enough during the week - the last thing I want to be doing on a weekend is hang around in a laundry waiting for clothing to dry :D :D :D

My Zanussi condenser dryer must be 13 years old by now, but is still going strong! I wouldn't be without it, and will get the same model again when mine finally goes!
