Good Morning Monday

Postby JoM » 16 Oct 2017, 06:38

Good morning all, it's misty and drizzly here with very strong winds forecast for later.

No plans for today. John's taking a holiday day and I think, like me, he was hoping for better weather so that we could escape for dog walks.

Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, morning all :)
Today is supposed to be very warm and sunny. So far it's warm but dark and gloomy.

Yoga early this morning, then to a friend's for coffee and to meet her puppy, then straight to the hospital for bloods.

Bb happens to be working in Lymington today so he is going to call in for holiday brochures :D

Hope Saundra is feeling better x
Have a good day

Morning all :)

Di that does sound great, on the whole :) Good luck with the bloods xx

Jo I hope the weather improves, for John's day off! Hoping it improves here too, it's dull and drizzly :?

Back to normal here, with WW this morning (yikes!!) and lunch and a catch up with Emma and Jacqui, my partners in crime ;) It will be good to see everyone, but I've definitely put on a couple of pounds

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning everybody,
Cloudy here. Just pottering today. Going dancing tonight if the weather is not too bad.
We renewed our passports earlier this year. Filled in the application on line, printed it off and sent it withe old ones to Durham.
Got the new ones and the old ones with one corner cut off in about two weeks. Easier than going to the post office.
Also have just renewed mrs.e's driving licence online. The form is longer than before but once completed got the new licence in less than two weeks.
Frank, when you get your passport take a copy of the main page with your photo on. Take this with you seperately from the passport. It means if you ever lose it, you have the details to get a replacement.
Sorry to hear about your fall and treatment. Does it stop you lifting a pint of beer?

Morning everyone

Saundra xxx

Grey but sunny here and we're hoping for rain and thunderstorms

Dreadful news from the north, 20 dead in the latest round of fires - most of them lit deliberately    Houses burnt, villages burnt, the bombeiros have no water and some places, no bombeiros either

I really should crack on with the ironing, but I might leave it. But we're going into Ourique this afternoon, to take our library books back, also to pick up some salt for the pool and some bread for the soup I'll be making.

Will have a pit stop at the bar on the way back ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I hope you improve soon Saundra. A grey and very still morning here. No sign yet of the promised / threatened high winds. Later I will be sawig my SiL's sofa up and taking it to the dump. She lives in a 1st floor flat and there's only me to get it down the tight stairs, so it's out with the power saw! :Hi:

Morning all - a warm and bright morning her; the sun is trying very hard to break through the clouds. Meant to change quite a bit as of tomorrow and back to cold and wet

Jeez Jan, that is just beyond awful  . Why do people do that? And I wonder what it'll take before Portugal thinks about having full time employed and properly funded and equipped fire stations vs relying on volunteers who do the best they can with woefully little at time. Hats off to them all :( Really hope you get much needed rain all over the country.

Good luck with the bloods Di and definitely enjoy those puppy cuddles. When I was away this weekend and we were walking the dogs on the beach there was a spaniel puppy - just too adorable for words. The little thing was bouncing about all over the show - the cutest little thing ever
Saundra hope you feel better soon (((hugs)))
Kaz, whatever weight you may have gained not only will quickly disappear again, but that's what holidays are about - having fun relaxing. We don't have enough time away as it is so may as well enjoy every minute of it
Jo, hope you and John have a fun day regardless of the weather
Crommers, usually I'd say take it easy, but I have the feeling you're quite going to enjoy project "Sofa Destruction" :)
Cruiser, enjoy the dancing tonight

Usual/usual for me today which is nice after being away most of the weekend. Looking forward to another early night as I didn't sleep well on Saturday nor last night - ho hum...

Have a lovely day all x

Sounds fun Crommers

Ria, there is so much talk on the news on social media at the moment about the fires. Over 100 people dead this year and many more injured, it really beggars belief, but the Portuguese just seem to do that shoulder shrug and and do nowt  :cute: :cute:
