Good morning.

Forecast looks nice. 8-) 8-)

We're off to Marbella mid morning. :D :D

The hotel we've booked has a huge swimming pool so that will be getting used.

Out tonight for a wander round the old town and dinner at an Italian restaurant. :D :D

Tomorrow morning after breakfast (I love a hotel brekkie! ) we're heading back home but on the way we'll pick mum and dad up and bring them back to ours. :D

Conor and Lucia are coming over too. They've been in Madrid for a couple of days (Conor's birthday treat) and the four of us are going out for lunch. :D :D

That's my weekend taken care of!

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Misty start and we have another mini heatwave from Monday 8-)

Have fun Ally and enjoy your visitor Saundra xx

We also have visitors today. Alan and Nina will be staying here for tonight, in their 4th camper van in a year  The burst into flames, one went for a swim and one had massive break failure, as they were heading down a mountain somewhere in Spain

Off out to dinner with them later. If I'd had a bit more notice, I could have asked Odette to do something, but not enough time. The Palma is shut, so we'll probably go to the Boa Viagem.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Brian has been blowing well all night, and we've had a torrential downpour, thankfully stopped just before Bb and Minnie went out. Bit brighter at the moment.

I'm having a day off, after several early starts this week, and will be pootling, doing odd jobs.

Have fun Ally, and enjoy your visitors Saundra and Ton.
Ton what is it with Portuguese restaurants closing on Saturday nights??

Hope you all have a good day
x

Ally I love a hotel brekkie too, always the best meal for me when on me hollibobs :D Have fun!

Glad the storm has blown over Di! We have bright sun but it's windy!

Morning Saundra, enjoy your visitor :D

Jan, hopefully their van won't explode/implode or catch fire while they're with you  ;) xxxx

Just me and himself out for lunch today, as B is working this weekend. Round to see D later, then tonight I'm going to see a George Michael tribute act, with Emma. It's in Tewksbury, no idea how good he is, but we thought it might be a giggle  Mick is picking Harry up tonight! Can't wait to see him :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone :) xx

They're not always closed on a Saturday, but Mariana sometimes does functions on a Saturday and Sunday and sometimes gives herself the week-end off. She works really hard during the week, it's one of the most popular restaurants in the area for huge and cheap plates of food.

We had the daily specials during the week and I had to bring some of mine home. Bread, olives, 2 main meals, half a litre of red, coffee for 19€. Dessert was also included, but I couldn't eat any ;)

There would be riots here if restaurants closed on Saturday nights.

Menú del dia is hugely popular here too Jan.

Bread, 3 courses, drink and a coffee from anything between 6 and 8 euros. Absolute bargain. :D :D

I'm not begrudging anyone a day off Ton, and I was talking Portuguese restaurants in general.
We found it very strange that of all the night's of the week a surprising number of those in Olhao were closed on Saturday :?

Good morning all, it's getting windier here and the rain has just started. It's still quite sunny though.

We were out early with Billy to beat the wild weather, it was still a tad blowy though and I had to do a rather ungainly climb over a fallen tree which was blocking one path, must've been from the storm the other day.

We're now having our Saturday morning Tassimo coffee and toast, Tom's semi-awake and Joe's already up and dressed. I think the plan is that he's going out later. Tom has work at 1.45pm and I need to cut his hair before, John wants his cutting too. We'll call in to see my parents after dinner and then pick Tom up and take him back to Wolverhampton when he finishes at 7.30. BIll always comes with us to see 'Nan and Grandad' so we'll leave him there and pick him up on the way home.

Kaz, have a good time tonight and enjoy spending time with Harry :D

Ally, have a wonderful weekend! It all sounds like a lot of fun :D

Have a lovely day all!
