Mnemonics

Here's something to get you thinking.

I remember, when I was a very young man, using the following mnemonics (memory aids).
I haven't heard them since. Do you know , or can you guess, their purpose?

(1) Pigs Have Big Heads Poor Brutes

(2) God Destroys All Earth By Fire, Cricky!

Aggers I have no idea on those, I only know these two

My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming Planets (which no longer works since they declassified Pluto)

Apart from the Richard of York one, the only one I remember from school is

It's related to the number of sharps in a scale.
1 sharp is in the key of G
2 sharps.........D
3 sharps is......A and so on.
