I actually took my life in my hands today, and for the first time ever ...... used Contactless !!

I don't like these new-fangled 21st Century technology things, but the checkout terminal in the supermarket had a hissy fit  over my card when I put it in, so to avoid embarrassment, as the bill was under £20, I asked the young lad on the checkout what it was I had to do (he managed not to laugh!) and it was quite painless, really ......

It'll be an electric car, next .... :?

You disappoint me - they have no green credential once the Emperor's clothes are removed.

Now if you had said a sturdy bike with basket on the front frame with steel handlebars and metal brake levers....

You'll be getting one of they mobile phone wotsits and twittering on about the sudden onset of arthritis in your thumbs.

Debit and credit cards Jan. No need to key ina pin number - for purchases of £30 or less you just tap the card against the card machine at the till. You can also use your smartphone if you are signed up to the technology for it. This has come in over the past few years.

Oh yes! A sturdy sit up and beg with Sturmey Archer three speed gears!

Never used contactless, I don't trust it either. If the Lord had meant us to use it, he wouldn't have invented cash! ;)

I love contactless, I hate it when my bill is over £30 and I can't use it

There's nothing we can do about all this new-fangled gadgetry.
If we don't like it we just don't have to use it.

The thing today is that, now we have got used to the idea of these new things, we just have to
be prepared to keep on accepting them, unless we want to stick to the good old proven methods
and be ridiculed for being old-fashioned. It is the criminal elements of society who welcome all
these news gadgets, as they present new ways of stealing money.
