Anybody doing anything exciting for NYE?
We'll probably just have a nice meal at home and watch something on TV, then try it calm Billy down when the fireworks start. I'm giving Rescue Remedy another go with him.

Antonia and Pieter want us to go down the bar, but we did that last year and not really into New Year Eve drinking and eating. And either late night/early morning
So we've invited Mitchell up for a lamb cutlet bbq in the afternoon and then we can all be cosy by the fire later. He'll go by about 6.00, to make sure his chickens and guinea fowl are tucked up for the night

Last year we were at a lovely, happy party with neighbours, fellow dog walkers, relatives of J and B, at their house.
Then earlier this year J died...we all miss him.
B would have been alone, by choice, but is coming here for dinner. She can handle just us but not a big happy gathering, and we didn't want her sitting on her own.

It will have been hard for your friend Di, lovely that you are looking after her
xx
No plans here, I suspect we'll be shattered after our visitors leave

It will be tough, with such happy memories of a year ago, but B can relax with us, cry if she needs to, and it won't matter.
We will have champagne and a nice meal, she will like that.
She has a daughter nearby and has been well looked after all over Christmas.

So nice to know that people like B have people looking after them and caring.

No plans here, we have never been bothered about New Year's Eve, and may well be in bed before midnight

Tom certainly has no plans - he has a 5am shift on New Years Day
