Spring bulbs

Our first snowdrop appeared just around the New Year and it's been in bloom for the past few days :D

But what has impressed this winter has been - the garlic!

We bought a giant garlic bulb from a garden centre in November, planted 10 individual cloves in two pots of 5 on the patio (and cooked the rest  ). All 10 cloves have sprouted and are now 3" tall and growing fast. Hopefully we might well have 10 full-bodied home-grown garlic bulbs come next May ....

Lovely, Ossie! Nothing coming up here yet, although a "memory" popped up on my timeline on Facebook today, with photos from exactly 4 years ago, of my tubs with bulbs sprouting! I think the snow here last week might have slowed things down a bit

I've seen a few shoots coming up in various gardens as I've walked around, probably Snowdrops - time will tell!

We have a lot of crocus beginning to appear. Have several troughs both at the front and back so we should have some flowers soon.

The only flowers we can see from our window are quite a few Primulas, one of my favourite bedding plants,
some of which have been flowering, on and off, for months now.
