....this July Jackie and I will have been best friends!!

She posted on my fb timeline this morning.

I can still remember meeting her in Butlins July 1978 and we hit if off immediately.

She has been the most wonderful friend and I absolutely adore her.

Friends from way back are the best!

That's really nice, Jackie always sounds like a really fab friend to have!

My oldest friend is Rob. He's 17 days older than me, our Moms were best friends and neighbours (we actually moved house from opposite them when I was a toddler and they followed a couple of years later to live three doors away). There are pictures of us as newborns in a pram together

He's married to Ruth who I now also count as a very dear friend, love them both to bits (and their daughters too!) By some twist of fate, history repeated itself when their oldest daughter was born three days before Tom. They've grown up as good friends too!
