Yes, I have one! It's nice and light, and very useful for the stairs, and the car! Also powerful enough for carpets and hard floors :)

Thanks Kaz. We have no stairs only carpets and hard floors.

Lissie, I'm looking to get one myself, but will go the V8 route because of the longer run time

Also look for a dyson that has the two different cleaning heads; one for carpet and one for hard floor as (according to my sister-in-law who has the V8 Absolute and is in love with it) having the hardwood cleaning head makes a huge difference. Admittedly they (and I) have pets and the smoother roller makes it easier to clean. But if you don't have pets it should be fine with just the one

Another friend has the V6 Absolute and is equally besotted with hers as Nadine is - but the V6 has a shorter run time

Mrs S has the V8. it's great but whilst it does last 40 minutes, as advertised, it does eventually cut out if you keep the trigger pressed for more than a minute at one go. Not a big issue for me I just work with it and keep pressing and releasing the trigger, but Mrs S gets irritated by it.

I've also had to strip the whole thing down and blow out all the filters from time to time too. Mainly because it was abused by the cleaner and not emptied when it was full.

I love them.

We have the V8 Lissie and absolutely love it. We went for it over the V6 because of the longer run time, it does the whole bungalow without needing a recharge, perfect. Our bungalow is mainly porcelain tiles, but we do have carpet in the two bedrooms, also coir matting in the porch way. We had the charging stand installed inside our utility cupboard so it's nicely out of the way but ready for use at all times.
