I got home from the supermarket to find two big holes in the kitchen ceiling, and Mick mopping up a load of hot water and plaster dust! He's suspected ever since the heating first started playing up that we had a leak in the system somewhere, snd this was confirmed when hot water started gushing through the ceiling

I've had to mop the kitchen floor a couple of times, to get rid of the plaster dust, but it's finally all gone

On the plus side, at least now it's been "found" and he's fixed it, so once we get the new boiler in on the 5th that *should* be it!

Yes, thank goodness he was home! I would not have known what to do, apart from switching off the water at the stopcock

Di is right, we do have heat, mercifully, but will need to find a plasterer

Well, such happenings can be somewhat upsetting, but I think you can be thankful that the damage isn't too bad.
It could have been a lot worse.

I hope you get it fixed without too much hassle.
