Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 04 May 2018, 05:43

Good morning.

Sunny and warm. 8-) 8-)

Off to Carre Four again (they're doing a great deal on Adidas running shoes) nipping to Dealz then going to mum and dad's who are taking us out to lunch. Jacob is meeting us there too. :D :D

Homework club 4.30 - 6.30 then meeting Don for Friday beers and tapas. :D

Have a great day everyone.

May the fourth be with you.

Morning :)
Not sunny but warmer and dry.

If my back etc are ok after a shower I'm off out to the best garden centre for coffee to meet some friends.
When I say best, it's one of the nicest places to sit, but also they do any coffee and a Danish for £3.50 :D

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all :D

Bit too early to tell what the weather's going to do, but hopefully it will be a nice day.

Hope your back's okay and you get to enjoy a nice coffee at the garden centre Di.

The District Nurse arrived just after I'd washed yesterday, good timing, and she's happy so probably won't need to come back until I have my stitches out on 10th.

Would love to get out on the pavement for a little walk today, will probably only make it past next door and back but it would be a start. Got to wait in for the doctor to call, could be anytime. The appointment was made a couple of weeks ago, it's for a BP review. Waste of time really, my BP is very unstable right now, apparently not unusual after a spinal and often doesn't settle for a few weeks. It dropped as low as 80/30 in hospital and was generally in the low 100's so they didn't give me the atenolol most days. They've instructed me to take a reading each morning and only take it if it's above 140. Will be interesting to hear what the doctor thinks.

Have a good day :D

Morning everyone

A lovely sunny morning 8-) 8-)

Hope your back is better today Di and you can take advantage of the garden centre x

Slow and steady Jen x Blood pressure is a funny thing to stablise, isn't it? Each day you'll feel a bit better, I hope xx

This morning I'll be weeding - again    The bank by the pool has been done and now I have the other bank to do. The weeds - some are really wild flowers, so they'll be left :D - are almost waist height :o :o So gloves on and and puuulllll    (have to be careful of snakes and other crawley stuff   )

Grumpy will be shower room wall building, as his arms are still sore after using the kango the other day ;)

The last of the turkey tonight :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's dull but quite mild here.

I'm just back with Billy, John cycled into work today and Joe's in college. Tom's back later as he has work from 3-9pm.

We had a lovely night out last night with the lads and Shannon and Raegan, there were lots of laughs and I also bumped into my gorgeous Goddaughter Charlotte in the restaurant lobby, I was walking through when someone tapped me on the shoulder and there she was, it was lovely to see her. She was out for a meal with friends and was waiting for their table. I always used to worry about how she'd turn out, her Dad was always very controlling with Alison (and I used to worry about her too of course) and I worried he'd be the same with the children but he seems much more relaxed now and Charlotte is a lovely, confident young woman.

Hope the back eases Di xx

Jen, it sounds as though you're doing really well xx

Jan, you wouldn't get me out of the house if I knew there was a chance of snakes in the garden :?

Enjoy lunch, Ally!

Have a lovely day all xx

I love a good garden centre mooch, Do :D

Sounds like you're doing well Jen 8-) :) Your BP will settle soon, I'm sure xxx

A good night out there, Jo! :) :)

Yikes, I can just about stand snakes, Jan, but if you get big spiders, then forget it  :? I'll never forget sitting by the pool in Corfu, reading My Family And Other Animals, and getting to the bit where he mentions finding tarantulas, and the horrible realisation that they must be native there....... :?  I was poking under the bed, and making Mick check the shower after that!

It's a nice sunny day here :) Out shopping with D in a bit.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

They are harmless, honest    There is only one poisonous snake in Portugal and I've not seen it here - yet

To be honest, the tend to slither away when they hear you coming, or else they'll pop their heads up and then I walk away

No such thing as a harmless snake where I'm concerned - seeing any kind would be enough to bring on a heart attack for me :o Now that we're in Spring there have been sightings of grass snakes and adders on the Chase. John's seen a few while out on bike rides over the years but I avoid going there outside of the Winter months for that reason.

I'm fine with spiders though, Joe often shouts for me to move one for him
