Good morning.

Thursday again!

Hot & sunny.

Going for a quick yompette round these here hills, back to shower then walking into town to get a few bits. It's one of my colleagues birthday next week so I'm going gin hunting.

I'm sure a coffee and bacon pitufo will feature strongly when I'm out and about.

Work 4 - 9, lots of exam classes (thank goodness we have air conditioned classes! ) then meeting Don when I finish for a couple of beers and a bite to eat.

Bb is working from quite early so I can do just as I like, I wonder what that might be...

Morning all

Dull and overcast at the moment, think we could have rain, but it's supposed to brighten up this afternoon.

Wasn't expecting her until today, but Dawn the District Nurse turned up yesterday around midday. Probably as well, she's taken out half the staples, but left the rest as I have an infection at the top of the wound and need antibiotics. She tried ringing the surgery while she was here, no joy, its always a nightmare getting through by phone, usually means sitting for absolutely ages with the phone on redial. She said she would try again when she got back to her office so I was surprised to get a call from the surgery about 30mins after she left to say the prescription was on it's way to the chemist attached and should be delivered today. Dawn rang me around teatime, apparently she wasn't impressed with their phone service either and had actually gone in straight after seeing me to get the ball rolling. It takes a good 2/3 days for antibiotics to start working so hopefully they'll turn up this morning and the rest of the staples can come out on Monday.

Depending on the weather, another day of walks beckons, don't think we'll get out in the garden though.

More clouds than sun this morning. Getting cooler over the next few days, but getting back to normal heat next week

Waiting for the freezer, should be here anytime between now and 2.00pm. They'll text about 30 minutes before they arrive, apparently.

Will probably be out in the garden later.

Cannot believe it's Thursday already - mom leaves today; the time has just flown by this time but then she was only here for 8 days vs the usual 14. We've had a lovely few days together once the family had all left; lots of lovely lunches and pootling about.

Sunny and clear skies here but so much cooler compared to the weekend and earlier this week - but just as well probably as I'm looking to get loads done in the way of clearing up on the allotment and here at home in the garden.

Jen, thank goodness Dawn went straight to the GP - hope she gave them a bit of an earful; I know the people there are doing the best they can but surely they must realise things are an issue? Fingers crossed the AB's arrive asap and kick in very quickly

Well as said, off to the airport a bit later this morning - leaving around 11am and then home to sort out washing and sort a few things for the allotment / garden.

Enjoy your days at leisure Di and Ally. WD for the district nurse Jen. Our surgery is the same for phone appointments, a nightmare. Will your mum be coming back soon Ria? It sounds like you've enjoyed her visit.

Our next door neighbour Gerald was taken to hospital yesterday. He's not been well for a while and has fallen twice recently. I got him up the first time when he fell in their bedroom and the night before last Steve (our other next door neighbour) had to help Gerald of the stair lift at the top of the stairs. We'll find out more today.

I need to get a bit of edging done around the lawns and visit the tip. The tribe of evil dwarves who manufacture rubbish and throw it in our garage when we're not looking have been at it again!

Good morning all, it's sunny here and a lovely temperature

I walked Billy first thing and then walked down to town to do some shopping. Joe's in college this afternoon but stayed at Tom's flat last night so is getting the train from Wolverhampton straight to college. I'll walk Billy again this afternoon and then it's the joys of food shopping tonight.
