Hopping mad

Yes I am - hopping mad.

On 28th April we went into our local branch of Robert Dyas and ordered, and paid for, a new Dyson Vacuum Cleaner.
We were told it would be delivered on the 4th or the 7th of May. It wasn't, so we rang up their head office and they
said they would deliver it on the 10th, but it still didn't arrive. A further phone call produced a deliver date of the
11th. but, guess what - it again hasn't arrived. That's four days where we have been stuck in all day, waiting in vain.
As you might imagine, we are now both hopping mad, and I'm going into town tomorrow to ask for my money back.

I would also ask for my money back... and if it did eventually arrive I would hold it to ransom.

You never know they might offer a huge discount...

We ordered our Dyson direct from Dysons and it was delivered the next day and they also
meet any price that you can find :D

How annoying Aggers, I've just looked at reviews of this company and there seems to be a lot of people with complaints.

We bought ours from Argos so no problems getting it from the store. I ordered the one my parents bought directly from Dyson - like Lissie did - and it was with them the following morning.

It's this that we find so annoying. In our experience, delivery companies only deliver when they say they'll deliver about 75% of the time. And if you're not in to collect, then it's a trip to a warehouse or a sorting office to collect it yourself, or a re-scheduling which starts the process all over again.

Which is why we only arrange to get things we buy delivered if we can't pick them up ourselves at the time of purchase .....

I went into Robert Dyas this morning, and the manager made some telephone enquiry and then told me that it would be delivered today.

We shall see.

(I'm still waiting.)

Still waiting Aggers?

A phone call to the shop is in order.
