Oh well

Bit disappointed, Mr Syed is happy with my progress, but he doesn't feel the operated leg is strong enough yet so wants me to wait 2/3 weeks before driving again. He was very put out I've not been having physio and has referred me for regular sessions so hopefully that will help. I do get what he says, he wants me to be sure I could do an emergency stop if necessary, but I'd set my heart on being able to get out and about again.
After the appointment we popped up to the ward with a thank you card for the staff. It was lovely to see them all again and they were delighted. Especially nice to see Marta, the best nurse ever, she really got me through. As soon as she saw me she ran round from the nurses station to give me a big hug. Have to say I wouldn't volunteer to go in for more surgery, but if it was ever necessary I couldn't go anywhere better.
We popped over to the garden centre for lunch when we got back and after a little chat we've decided to sod the expense and start using taxis so we can go shopping together. It will make such a difference, walking on a flat shop floor surface shouldn't be a problem now, and I need some normality. It will also make life easier for E and save him having to catch the bus into town and lugging heavy bags home. Also planning a couple of trips to the cinema, it's been 6 weeks and I have withdrawals
