Thanks for the lovely FaceBook PM from Ali asking how was I and you’d been talking about me and even missed me. I’ve missed you all too but real life took over with business, family and taking longer to put my lippy on in the morning and less online time. I’m the Matriarch of my lot and they’ve all needed a lot of Matriarching with emotional and financial support.

Are you all well my friends? I shall have a good browse and try to catch up with all your news. We go back a long way don’t we.

We've moved from the Algarve and now live in the middle of our own field - miles from anywhere and love it

In the middle of a field in the UK? All is well here thanks and one of my Grandsons has made me a Great Grand Mother to a big baby boy! Seeing as I think he's still a baby himself I can hardly believe it. He and his girlfriend have even bought their first home together and live around the corner from me in my town.

We're still travelling and went to Japan last year and because of family stuff not going away this year but will next year.

Lovely to see so many names still communicating in here.

Oh thanks Kaz, Jan and Cromwell and Saundra. Great Aunts, living in Portuguese fields and I hope you're well too Cromwell. Some things change and some things stay the same. It was a lovely surprise seeing Ali's PM in FB and once I'd done the retrieving my password I was back in here.

When Grandson got pregnant it was a shock because he's the careful, sensible one of the two of them and now he's a wonderful young Daddy. This generation of young men are so hands on it's a pleasure to see. I'm a Bad GGM and still like my pink wine, the Eagles, binge watching Netflix, burgundy lipstick but no longer totter around on heels. Stopped smoking but now addicted to Vaping! And I saw somebody mention their Grumpy! Yeah! They get grumpier by the year don't they!
