Good morning Wednesday

Postby Diflower » 04 Jul 2018, 06:32

Morning :)
We have cloud, which is rather nice since it's just for the day.

Lovely neighbour called round with a bunch of roses for me last night :)

Bb has to go to a meeting in London today, so he's off to the train soon.
I shall be walking Minnie, and later a friend is taking me to and will collect me from treatment. I could drive there but not back.

Hope everyone has a good day

Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 04 Jul 2018, 06:36

Morning everyone

Sunshine, clouds and a brisk breeze this morning, supposed to be hotting up as from tomorrow, we'll see.

Grumpy is putting the last of the few bricks on the shower room wall - the wood is already on :Hi: :Hi: so that will be the last of the "building" work :Hi: :Hi:

I'm heading off down the drive in a minute, to pray the weeds down there. Later we're off to Santa Luzia, to the one and only wood place in the area, to get wood for the door frame and we'll do the shopping on the way back.

Bbq later.

And well done to the England tam, not a very good match, but to win on penalties

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Di

When I started mine, I looked to see who was here and there wasn't any-one, snuck in through the back door?

Always lovely to get flowers x

Morning you two

Di, good luck to you for the treatment and good luck to Bb for the train journey - esp the homewards bound bit :o :)
Jan, I do love your autocorrect / typo's - you're meant to be spraying those pesky weeds and not praying to them; that'll just keep encouraging them :D :D Hope you get the wood you need and enjoy the BBQ later

another usual/usual for me today. Although saying that, what with the hot weather there just seems to be so much more to be done at home; you have to feed the cats later / different because of flies, the garden is needing watering every evening (I have a lot of plants in pots and of course the greenhouse) and it just seems to be so late by the time I sit down and relax; and then it's bed time.... oh well. I'm not going to complain about the warm weather; I for one am loving it

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

The roses sound lovely Di, glad someone can drive you xxx

Well done Grumpy! :D 8-) Even I was glued to the penalties Jan! :geek:

Not much special planned, out for a walk shortly - it's a bit cloudy, and cooler!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all!

Off to Stafford shortly with Tom. He has a hospital appointment, I'll shop and then we'll meet for coffee. He wasn't supposed to be working today but he was asked if he could do 4pm - Midnight when he was there yesterday so he said yes. He's trying to get plenty of money saved for him and Shannon to go to New York and Washington so every extra shift helps.

I saw a different side to John last night; he was supporting England how I support Man Utd. I can't be bothered with the England team, too much hype surrounds them whenever they go to a tournament. Plus Harry Kane has the cold, calculating eyes of a serial killer. I'm now rooting for France, seeing as Portugal and then Spain let me down. I sat crocheting while he watched the match. He even watched the highlights afterwards and paused it for me to see something. Turned out that he'd spotted someone we know in the crowd

Hope the treatment goes well today Di, and enjoy the roses! I think I'll treat myself to some flowers today, I've had the most beautiful cream Orchid since early March but it's lost it's flowers this week.

Kaz, enjoy your walk! It definitely felt a bit fresher than yesterday when I was out with Billy first thing.

Have a good day all!

Cloudy now   with a sprinkle of rain earlier :o :o

I pray the weeds Ria, as I'm hoping they die    Sorry, I really am dreadful about checking before I press submit

Change of plan re the wood - as he said, what's the point of having it here, taking up room, when we don't have a lot of it at the moment.

Rang Heldar and he's going to pass, when he's next in the area. They say, meaning pass by, I think.

Jo, rooting for France here too :D

Good morning from another day of gorgeous sunshine here in Howth, today is supposed to be very hot. Isn't it amazing how flowers and grass die in the heat but the weeds thrive no matter how hard we pray!

Gym this morning, then we are off to a shopping centre. Mr Osc needs to go to Currys, he bought a connection thingy at the airport to put his photos from his camera to his new ipad - flipping Apple changing the size of the charger aperture in new ipads  Although the guy at the airport maintained it was the right one (and Mr Osc thought so too from his own research) it seems to be incompatible with his ipad, and doesn't work with my phone either. Then we will do our supermarket shop and I also have a bag for the TK Maxx charity box. Better go and do a few bits before heading to the gym....
