And could a new phrase enter our lexicon: Drunk as a gull?

Apparently the birds are wandering, sorry, staggering around the south coast pi55ed as newts and drunk as skunks after consuming brewery waste.

Hic!

We have an awful gull problem here in Gloucester, one of the worst in the country. I hope ours stay sober

Oh blimey!

We actually get dozens of gulls gathering on what's supposedly the village green, they're either there or they all perch along the tops of the lampposts down on the main road.

Blooming nuisance they are! The problem is that any time someone suggests a cull (oiling eggs, or other humans methods) there are objections! I'm all for animal rights, but there are limits

They were a real pain in Bridport when I used to work there. They'd established a nest on a nearby house roof and harassed anybody and everybody using our office car-park ….. :|

It was meant to be light-hearted, but drunken gulls staggering about, fighting, vomiting and guano: no thanks!

We retired our horse, Bobby, to a quieter stable.

Turned up one day to find him leaning against a tree unable to walk. He had only filled himself up with old apple windfalls. Did he learn?: No! :D :D :D

They still are a nuisance in Bridport! The bars and cafes at West Bay with outside beach eating areas are warning customers to be careful as the seagulls swoop and take the food off their plates of food. Well, we're a brewery town so we must have drunken seagulls all over the place. Might be hard to tell as most of the population are drunk too ;)
