A tale of woe!!!! (and a dodgy laptop)

Well here we go. Firstly didn't anyone miss me and wonder if I had slipped while perching on the loo and fallen in? (feet still don`t touch the ground)
I treated myself to a quite expensive laptop as my old touchscreen was on the way out.
I got it all set up and away we go (or so I thought)
It started installing updates automatically and didn't stop for breath.
I left it to it`s own devices but when I returned it wouldn't start up.
I was fed up so took it back to Argos and after a few arguments they exchanged it.
I set this new one up and once again it started installing.
I managed to get on FB and read but couldn't post and same on here and few other sites.
Thoroughly fed up I put it back to factory settings and tried again.
No luck so back to Argos I went and they said it must be a fault on that model so changed it
again for a different model.
This one seems ok so far (fingers crossed) so if I post and someone answers I will breathe a sigh of relief.
Hope everyone is ok but for all you knew I might have been swimming in the sewer now lol
