Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 02 Aug 2018, 04:13

Good morning.

Hot. 8-) 8-)

Weather warnings have been issued to tourists that it's set to be 48 degrees and to take care. I'm assuming that applies to us that live here too.

A swim first then walking into town to meet a friend for coffee and a bacon pitufo. :D :D

Carre Four this afternoon for a couple of new pool loungers....we have visitors next week. :D :D

It's nearly the weekend so Jose's tonight for a couple of cold beers.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning :)
I should think everyone needs the warning if it's 48 degrees
Carol just warned about the weather in western Portugal and southern Spain. Forecast says 47, 48 would be a record.
Nice here, blue with a few white fluffy clouds.

Scans late morning, head and body.
Have a good day all

Morning Ally, Di nd everyone

Rather warm already  It's on the news here too Di - I must remember to put sun cream on

Good luck with the scans xx Do you get the results straightaway?

Grumpy out doing stuff to the outside walls, where the new one meets the old one. Then I'm not sure what he'll be doing, something to the new room anyway ;) I'll get the ironing out of the way early, then probably do not a lot. Look for bedside cabinets, wardrobe, light fittings.

Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing xx

No Jan, they need the detailed reports, meetings if other depts involved, etc.
I was going to be given a bit of time to start recovering before they do anything else anyway, so not going for results for almost 3 weeks.
Fine with that, since we had the head mri only a few weeks ago.

Just had a text from the protecçao cival, warning of the high temperatures and fire risk. Apparently, so has every one else in the country with a mobile phone

Morning all

Crikey Ally - 48 is just a tad extreme; and what's the bet you'll still get people trying to suntan and be silly in the sun and then wonder why things go wrong :?
Fingers and toes and paws crossed for the scans Di xxx ((hug))
Jan, I'd also do not a lot if I were you - enjoy a day of doing little and supervising Grumpy :D But good of the protecçao cival to be sending messages; hopefully people take notice. And definitely do make sure you put that sun screen on!
Crommers and Kaz enjoy your respective days.

Busy morning here when I got in but now nice and quiet and will probably stay like this all day as bossman not coming in. Nail appointment this evening and then to my neighbour as I'm cat sitting for her as of tomorrow evening and one of her cats has just been diagnosed with diabetes so needs 2x daily injections. She's going to show me what to do. Between us I'm not looking forward to the next week. The neighbour is a nice enough person with a heart of gold, but she has too many animals in too small a house and it absolutely reeks. They're all looked after very well so you can't complain about that but it's just grim when you go there. I'll be installing air freshners etc first thing tomorrow evening when I get there. Sigh, expect lots of grumbling from me between now and Saturday

have a lovely day all x

No point with the sun screen, no sun    Lots of cloud and a high wind, which is making the 33C feel quite pleasant.

I'm just going to make him stop, he's puffing away, making a hole in a wall.

Flan and salad for dinner ;)

This heat is going to carry on until Monday at least.
