our local ALDI my Wife asked a member of staff if they had cooking apples-reply was ----we only sell them in the Winter :? :?

That's really odd, I'll have a look down our s/market tomorrow. September they should be cropping in this country, shouldn't they?

Plenty in our Sainsbury's :? I made an apple and pear crumble last week. Sugar-free, I used Stevia ;) :)

We use Truvia, Kaz, which I think is a form of stevia, both in tablet form for coffee, and as granules on strawberries and crème fraiche, for example,

It does the business, as they say, but it ain't cheap …… The granule tubs are £5 each in Waitrose! :|
