Good morning Saturday

Good morning.

Another fantastic day yesterday, which included a visit to Lichtenstein - another crazy add on
- ending up with us checking into our Swiss farmhouse accommodation. The elderly couple whose house it is greeted us so warmly and were keen to show us round. On showing us our room Lilly was holding a cloth bag and informed us it would be full of fresh bread and some eggs and placed on the outside door handle in the morning for our breakfast. Our room has a table and two chairs and is placed right by the window with views which include the church. To say the setting is idyllic would be an understatement. I don't know how David finds these places! :D

They don't speak a word of English so it's a good job David speaks German.

Today we're crossing another border this time to Germany where we'll have lunch. There's an area that looks like it has a rugged path to follow so we'll hike that and see where we end up.

Back home before dark to have dinner in the only restaurant in this tiny village.

Have a great day everyone and huge vibes to Saundra. X

Morning Ally and everyone

Still dark and another warm day.

Sounds interesting Ally, have fun and enjoy yomping :D

Not sure what we'll be doing today. The tiling is finished :Hi: :Hi: apart from above the basin. But as that is not yet in place……

Huge vibes for a speedy recovery to Saundra x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Lovely and bright and sunny :)
Sounds fabulous Ally!

Not much planned, but Bb has the long weekend off so we will see. The traffic though has been dreadful all week, we might decide we're better off doing an early trip to w/rose then staying in.
Huge vibes to Saundra.
Hope you all have a good day
x

Ally that sounds so idyllic! I'm really enjoying the photos on Facebook :) Have another lo let day today 8-)

Jan, that's brilliant about the ruling :D

Di, it's bright here too, but there's a real autumn chill here today :? Have a good day, whatever you end up doing :)

We'll be out for our usual Saturday brunch and mooch later. S isn't back yet, so we'll probably see her tomorrow. There's a 70th birthday party for a friend of Nick's at the rugby club tonight, so we might drop in :)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning all, it's another cool morning but it's quite sunny. We had loads of rain yesterday evening so I've just had quite a muddy and long walk with Billy.

Not sure what plans we have for today, although the washing machine is on. I might experiment with my waffle maker and make Tom a nice breakfast before he goes to work. Shannon's coming to stay until Monday, think she's arriving this evening as she's working today.

That sounds wonderful Ally! The farmer's wife and the bag of fresh bread and eggs sounds very Famous Five-ish :D

Di, enjoy your day xx

Kaz, have fun at the party!

Jan, you know we'll need photos when it's all done!

My thoughts are very much with our Saundra xx

Have a good day all!

Morning all, it is bright here but as Kaz says, there's a real autumnal chill :( Nothing planned for the day, ironing and I want to read. The Pope is due to land in Dublin at 10.30 for a 36 hour visit - I would not cross the road to see him, but we are watching some of the coverage on tv. The last papal visit was in 1979 and we went along to see John Paul II, but Ireland is a very very different country now. While I think the current pope seems to be a good man, I don't think he can solve the deep rooted rot in the Catholic church.

Some nice days on here! Went to the pub in the next village last night with some old friends. Coming back there was a definite feel of autumn in the air, as Jo says.
It was good to catch up.
Have a nice day all and many vibes to Saundra.

Good Morning all,
A very Autumnal morning here in Kent.
I hope Saundra is feeling better today.
I messaged her on FB yesterday but got no reply so messaged her son John
who answered and told me. I was just about to tell you when Jo beat me to it.
I am feeling a bit better but now have a cold and sciatica
If anyone says getting old is fun--don`t believe them!!!!
Just going to M&S for a Dine In.
Was hoping that the family might come and see us and bring little
Cici but nothing has been said.
We have only seen her twice although they keep us updated through
FB and Instagram.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Ally glad you're having so much fun.

The roads in Thanet will be horrendous this weekend, so yes you've guessed, we're staying in  The garden needs a bit of tidying so really should have a go at that later, still a bit sore so will see how I feel later.

Hope you all have a good day :D
