Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 26 Aug 2018, 05:05

Good morning.

Yesterday was amazing... we went to Germany and stopped at the lakes. We had a walk round, lunch and an ice cream. :D

It's been amazing being in 5 different countries during these 5 days and seeing how different the weather can be.
Italy was still really hot whilst the others have been much cooler. It's been a refreshing change from constant Spanish heat I can tell you.

Talking of Spain... we go home today.

We're dropping the hire car back at the airport and taking a train into Zurich centre for a walk round and lunch.

Our flight's at 4pm and Don is meeting us at the airport and taking the 3 of us to Jose's for a few beers. David's mum is picking him up and we'll go home. :D

Have a great day everyone and continuing vibes for Saundra. xxx

Morning :)
Dull and rain due.

You sure have packed a lot into just five days Ally!

Friend D was down at her house just along the coast yesterday, and came for lunch which was nice.
Nothing much planned for us today, apart from swapping the two sofas over. Not a regular job, but just to even out the wear.
Cricket and Grand prix on tv, dinner to be decided.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all :)

Hoping Saundra is continuing to improve today! (((((Saundra))))))

Ally I've so enjoyed the posts, photos and videos!! 8-) Safe flight home later! :)

How nice to see your friend for lunch yesterday Di :D xxx

Jan, I reckon he deserves it ;)

Well we stayed in last night, after all  Pair of boring old codgers that we are, we just didn't fancy the rugby club last night ;) Becky enjoyed her day, and night, at the Whitcomb Cider Festival - she posted at about 11 last night, saying it was "Awesome" but going by the way she stumbled in after midnight I'm not sure how awesome today will be....... :P

Out for the papers in a while, then we'll pop in to see D, who's back from Weymouth :) I have some autumn flowering plants to put in later, as long as it doesn't rain, but otherwise a nice lazy day :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all. You sound to have had the best time Ally! Oh dear Kaz! I hope B isn't too rough today.
What are the hunters hunting Jan?
MotoGP on the tv for us later and we must get some more sunflower seeds for the goldfinches, they've nearly gone through them.
Hopefully Saundra is on the mend now.

Grey here and not too warm. It's just started to rain.

Have a lovely day one and all. :)

They're only allowed to shoot small birds at the moment, dove, pigeon, coot and moorhen. Heavy fines if they shjoot anything else.

There are specific dates for various animals too

Good morning, it rained most of the night and was still raining when we got up, but it seems to be clearing now and the sun has even peeped through a little. Today for the first time in months, I am not wearing crops, but jeans and socks :( Today I must tackle some of the ironing (that I ignored yesterday :cute: ), otherwise no plans. Ribs and corn on the cob for dinner.

Morning all :D

Definitely much cooler here, no rain as yet but there are a lot of black clouds floating overhead.

No plans for us today, bed change day so the sheets are in the washing machine. We're having roast chicken and salad later, should really be hot veggies given the weather, but haven't geared up to that yet. Just made strawberry blancmange and blackcurrant jelly for afters, yum, yum.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all.

We're getting quite a bit of rain here, so we won't be going anywhere today.

Ally - you certainly get around. Glad you are enjoying yourself.

Sandra - I hope you are feeling better today.

Thank heaven it's not so unbearably hot now.
