I would like to say a few words about my beautiful friend Di.
We first 'met' on the DM health boards when my friend Jan had been diagnosed with cancer and it quickly became apparent she wasn't going to live long.
Di was first on hand to offer advice, support and friendship.
After Jan passed away somehow Di and I continued 'talking' and it soon became clear to the both of us that we had a bond. You know when you connect with someone? That was us.
Di guided me later to VV where our friendship became deeper and we discovered a real love of things we both enjoyed like cooking. Many a recipe was swapped, shared, talked about and compared.
We shared a passion for 'frocks' (she would love me saying this! ) shoes and books. Oh yes. Books.
We met in real life September 2014 when we'd arranged to meet Kaz in London to see the WW1 poppies.
Wow! What a day that was. Kaz....memories for ever? Indeed.
After that we got a cruise boat on the Thames to Greenwich. A pub meal and a mooch round the market. Photos are still on fb of Di and I chewing the fat at a clothes stall.
Di and Bry came to Spain quite a few times and every time they did we met up.
The occasion it peed with rain we sat chatting in the pub for a whole 6 hours!
Di. You were a wonderful lady. Kind, feisty, intelligent...I could go on.
I want the world to know how happy I am/was to have had you in my life.
I love you so much my dear, dear friend.
RIP Di.
I will love you always and will never forget you.
