Busy two days

Phew - that's been a busy two days! Yesterday, Mr Osc's 70th, we had a lovely day. Kellie was here for a couple of hours after school and when Miss Osc arrived with Michael, she had balloons, cards and a present. Michael and Kellie had made a lovely card, and the present was three photos from our Scotland trip, printed and put in a nice frame, Mr Osc was thrilled with it. We went for an early evening meal with Miss Osc, sil, the children and my sister, in the local restaurant we use for special occasions. It was a family occasion for the memory box, I had ordered a cake which was to be a surprise, but Kellie was very worried in case there would not be a cake and we had a running commentary from her, including a super photo of her with her face in her hands, despondent at the prospect of no cake Then she spotted the cake coming towards the table, and it was "there is a cake, it's coming, I can see it - there's candles, oh oh, there's a golfer on the top!!!" Then onto Grandad's lap to help him blow out his candles.
Today, we took M and K to the circus. We both hate circuses, but their childminder had got free tickets so it would have been a shame to waste them and it was worth it to see the look on their little faces as they watched it.
So I think we are heading for bed shortly, tired but happy, Mr Osc says it has been his best birthday celebration ever.
