Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 10 Nov 2018, 05:59

Good morning.

Another warm sunny day forecast. 8-) 8-)

Don and I are getting the bus at 10am and going into Malaga for the day. :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

Shopping, lunch, sight seeing, visiting the CAC gallery, a walk by the port and along the coast which should lead nicely to dinner at our favourite little restaurant. :D

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cloudy but quite warm this morning. Some sun breaking through.

Off down to the bar soon, for coffee and bread rolls.

Back for breakfast, then I'll do the cleaning. Not sure what Grumpy will be doing.

Depending on the weather this afternoon, we'll either have a bbq or a curry for dinner

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

That all sounds perfect Ally 8-) xx

Morning Jan :) xx

We had a good day yesterday, The Wilson gallery is so interesting, and the exhibition of WWI photos and artefacts was really moving. They also have some stuff about the Scott expedition to the Antarctic, as one of the Wilson family was the Dr Wi!son who died alongside Scott, Oates etc.......

It's sunny here today, which is most welcome after the rain and strong winds of the past day or so! Becky is working this weekend, so it's just me and Mick out for brunch later. I have my SW weigh-in first, although I might not stay for the meeting afterwards as B won't be with me.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

A lovely bright morning here. Christine to her dad's, I need to go into town to get my phone screen repaired (hopefully).

Wine, pizza and Strictly later.

Bread rolls and bread bought, breakfast eaten, house cleaned, Grumpy doing the stone work outside :Hi: :Hi:

I-ve made hot black bean salad, rice with peas, chilli, onion and garlic and mayo potatoes for the lamb cutlets bbq later.

Might pop down to the bar when I-ve done all the washing up for an early beer or three ;)

Sun been in and out, washing drying nicely 8-)

Afternoon all :D

It absolutely lashed down last night, still very wet and miserable here

Enjoy your day in Malaga Ally.
A BBQ sounds lovely Jan.

Good luck at SW Kaz. I don't actually go, but have been pretty much following their plan and have now lost 1stone since my diabetes diagnosis. I'd like to think I could get quite a bit more off before my next blood test in January, but with the holiday then Christmas coming up I'll be happy to maintain the loss, anything more will be a bonus.

Not a lot happening here, stripped the beds so got some washing on the go and have a few house bits to do. Nothing too strenuous, after shopping Thursday and the cobbles in town yesterday feeling a bit sore.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, it's started raining here despite the forecast being for a bit of sunshine.

Had a lovely and very long walk with Billy this morning, then hung the washing out when I got home (see forecast above  ) and then Shannon arrived. She and Tom are making a quick visit to London this afternoon to see the memorial display at the Tower. They'll be back at 9ish tonight and tomorrow they're going to the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas tomorrow for the Remembrance Sunday events.

We went to Ikea last night, couldn't find any furniture that we liked which would match what we already have so John had the idea of cutting the bookcase down to make it half the height, which will make it the size that I was looking for. I got my tealights though and a tin of their ginger thins, Joe has a tin every Christmas. Once we were back in the car we ordered some Chinese food on Just Eat and picked that up from the takeaway in town on the way home, and ran into Morrisons for some cheesecake (it's a bit of an anniversary tradition, on the night of our wedding day we called into a proper little NY deli on the way back to the hotel from the Empire State Building and bought cheesecake). We then had a lovely little feast when we got home while watching Darkest Hour, which I highly recommend - it's a fantastic film and definitely a well deserved Best Actor Oscar for Gary Oldman.

Have a good day all!

Afternoon all. I was up and out early this morning as I was going to a funeral - the first of our "gang" in our teenage years to go, he has had poor health for many years but carried on living life to the fullest. It was a very large funeral, so it was hard to see who was there. One of my friends was there also, we sat together and were chatting to people we knew afterwards, then she and I went to a nearby hotel for coffee and a chat. Afterwards I did a small supermarket shop, (I had planned to do that yesterday, but the torrential rain and storm force winds meant I stayed at home) and then came home. I got our lunch and don't plan on doing much else apart from getting dinner - the supermarket I went to does nice prepared meals that just have to be popped in the oven so tonight we will have salmon and garlic potatoes, Mr Osc's favourites. For tomorrow I got a stuffed corn fed chicken, with baby potatoes, everything ready to go in the oven. Thankfully, I got all the ironing up to date yesterday.
