Morning all :)

Ally, that weather must be a nice change for you - are you into warmer clothes yet, and is the duvet back on? I remember you mentioning a few weeks ago ;) :)

Jan, good luck at the dentist's! I went yesterday, but only to pick up my whitening trays ;)

Am also hoping that both Jo's mom and Loz's Dave are making good recoveries from their ops (((((x)))))

I'm meeting a WW friend in town for a quick cuppa, then going to see D afterwards. I did lots of Christmas shopping yesterday, in Cheltenham and online, so that's well under way 8-) Pilates tonight.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all

And happy Thanksgiving from me as well to those who celebrate it x

Well what a day yesterday turned out to be.... on the good news front, my niece gave birth last night just before 10pm UK time to a little boy they've named Karl (my brother Karl thinks it's the most perfect name choice  ) . He was a whopper, 3.5kg (about 9lb). Mom and baby are doing well and he's gorgous

On the not so good news Nadine (my SIL) was admitted to hospital yesterday morning as she was having chest pains (she's ony 44) - thankfully she was at work and one of the GPS's there called an ambulance for her. She spent most of the day in A&E having various test done and they've ruled out a blocked artery but they still haven't figured out what is wrong so kept her overnight and will be doing more tests today. Currently testing to rule out a blood clot in the lungs or an inflammation of the heart lining and also checking her tyroid as that could be the cause of some of the symptoms; so all a bit worrying. I went there after work and spent a few hours with her and we're all just hoping that the tests today don't flag anything and she can come home. She was given a blood thinning injection last night and I think will have another today. So fingers crossed for her - all a bit of a worry.

Hope you all have a good day and enjoy whatever it is you're up to

Vibes for Jo's mom and Loz's D - speedy recovery to them both xx

Good morning all. It's beautiful here - very sunny, frosty and apparently about -2c at the moment. I've been out with Bill for two hours and it was glorious! The sunrise was stunning!

Thanks for asking, Mom's doing really well! She'd been putting this off for years, she had a bunion removed from one foot five or six years ago and needed the same doing on the other foot but the surgeon she saw to discuss the second operation didn't think he could do it without her having to lose a toe or two due to the way the bones had been pushed together. That put her off having it done. She started having more problems though and bit the bullet a few months ago and was referred, this time seeing a different orthopaedic surgeon. He did X-rays and came back saying that he was as sure as he could be that he wouldn't need to amputate any toes, obviously he wouldn't know for sure until he started the procedure. Thankfully it was all straightforward so now she's all sorted.

Just waiting for an Amazon delivery, of some Christmas presents I've ordered. I had a bit of a panic while I was walking back with Bill as my phone pinged and it said that the delivery was 6 stops away. I wasn't sure if it was notifying me then as there'd been no signal earlier and when I looked on the order tracker the map wasn't showing so I couldn't tell. When the map finally appeared the van was still in Stoke, it's now this side of Stafford but still has 5 deliveries to do before it gets here.

Ally, that's a bit of a change weather-wise! Have you stopped using the pool now or is it warm enough all year round?

Kaz, it's quite satisfying when you've made a start on the shopping isn't it! I've just got the tricky ones left to buy for now.

Good luck at the dentist, Jan!

Hope that Dave is doing well xx

Have a good day all xx

Good morning all.

It's sunny but frosty here, but I'm housebound at the moment.
I sprained an ankle a couple of weeks ago, stumbling down some stairs, and it's still too painful for walking, so I'm getting a doctor to visit me today.
Otherwise I'm O.K.

Have a good day.
