Morning Friday

Postby jenniren » 23 Nov 2018, 06:38

Morning all :D

Arrived at the hotel in good time to find the room booked wasn't available. I'd expressly asked for one with a walk in shower which was confirmed, but they were all occupied and the hotel was fully booked. They were very apologetic and offered to move us to their sister hotel, but that would have been a faff, taxis etc. We settled for a 20% discount plus a £50 voucher for dinner. Not a bad deal, and I figured we'd cope with a strip wash for one night. Oh and dinner was yummy :D

Up at silly o clock this morning :o Must admit I'm liking this premium lark, we breezed through security and are now nicely sat in comfort in the lounge. Bit early for brekkie, but it was very nice

Will be on here for another hour or so, will catch up later. Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all, it's dull and misty here but not as cold as yesterday.

I've walked Bill and I'm now just checking bus times to Stafford, well I know the times but the app tells me if they're running on time (ha!). Joe's gone to college and then he's working tonight until 10pm and after that he'll be home to get ready and then he's off out. Tom's still asleep but he didn't get in from work until 2.30am. He's back in work this afternoon.

LOL at Molly, Jan!

Hope that Nadine and Loz's D ar doing well xx

Have fun Jen!

Have a good day all!

Morning all

Safe travels Jen, have a fab time x. Mix up in the hotel does sound annoying but as you say the discount and voucher make up for it
Jan, I'm same as you - if the weather is anywhere near decent I'll be outside and doing stuff in the garden vs inside; that can wait
Cruiser, Jo, Ally and Kaz - enjoy your respective days pootling about

Well, I went to see Nadine last night - she wasn't allowed home after all. But they've more or less ruled out anything to do with her heart and lungs which is fab news; but they are a bit dubious about the fluid build up in her abdomen which could be the reason for the heart / pain issues; so they want to do two more abdominal scans / ultrasounds today to see if they can figure out something. But fingers crossed they'll be done in the course of the morning and she can come home tonight. Karl has taken the day off and should be on his way to London as I type - he was doing school run first. And then hopefully he'll be able to take her home. If not then I think we'll push for a transfer to St Peters which is closer to home and will make visiting a lot easier over the weekend. We'll see. So VV vibes for an 'you're allowed home' won't go amiss

Hope Loz's D is doing well

Have a lovely day all x

Change of plan here. I walked out of the back door and was just stepping off the drive when my phone beeped and it was a message saying that my new boots should be delivered between 10 and noon so I walked back in the front door  I'll go to Stafford later. Quite surprised really, Clarks gave an estimated delivery of between Tuesday and Saturday next week.

Lots of vibes for Nadine. Jen, have a lovely time.

I had a cold shower this morning. Not by choice, the hot water went off! Blimey, that gets your full attention; it was freezing. The link thingy on the wall that controls the boiler is playing up a bit. It's back on now.

Christine to the dentist in a while, then out for a coffee and a bun. Foul day here, it's grey and misty and drizzly.

Have a good day everyone.
