Saw Squeeze at Unity Hall Wakefield many moons ago, they were great.

I had dinner with Savage Garden's singer at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester once

It's nothing really exciting.

I liked the music and a friend's husband worked for him after he'd gone solo. It turned out that he wasn't getting much support from his record company as they didn't like the change of direction that the music had taken so a few of us helped out with promo. Handing out postcards, promotional condoms (yep!) and the like at events and festivals. In return he'd get us on the guest list for various things like when he had a DVD premiere in London, he appeared at G.A.Y in London and me and my friend were on the VIP list for that, then when he was on tour and in Manchester he took a few of us to dinner at the Lowry.
Lovely, lovely guy but badly managed by people he trusts. Hasn't made any music for seven or eight years now and moved to LA.

Ah, thanks! What a shame they let him down
