Good deeds

Postby cruiser2 » 14 Dec 2018, 18:15

This afternoon, I was stood at a bus stop waiting for a bus to come home after the check on my eyes.
I had been stood for over ten minutes. There was a long queue of traffic with vehicles stopping in front of me.
One car stopped with the window open. The lady driver, a Royal Mail post lady said"Get in. You should not be stood in the cold.
She made a little diversion and dropped me off near where I lived. She knew how to get back to the road she would have been on.
I have never met her before and it showed there are still some people who will look after old codgers like me.

:D :D :D :D

People can be really good, we often only hear about poor experiences and forget that there are more kind people than unkind.
My Dad quite often has strangers stop and give him a lift when he’s standing at the bus stop. A few weeks ago he was buying paint in a shop, it’s a trade place which sells to the public, and the lady asked if he wanted it taking out to his car. He told her he was getting a bus so she said “You’re not carrying that up to the bus station!” and then shouted out “Is anyone going near Hednesford?” and got him a lift!
