Postby JanB » 27 Dec 2018, 07:56

Morning everyone

Thick fog :o Supposed to be warm later

Another night sleeping - although mostly reading - on the sofa  Molly kept me company 8-)

I will get the ironing done today and dismantle that turkey. Grumpy still feeling rough, so he won't get a lot done today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone.

We got up before sunrise to walk to the beach and watch said sun rise. It was stunning.

We've already walked 14kms and just sat down at a cafe to have breakfast.

More walking this afternoon then heading home around 5.

We've had a fantastic time (I don't think Don's wallet feels too happy though as he treated me to 3 Pandora charms  )

Wishing you all a lovely day. X

Morning all :)

Looking a bit dull and misty here.

We had a lovely day with the boys yesterday, lots of silly games and noise    it was gone 11pm when we finally checked in here at the hotel.

Just had brekkie, plan to rest in our room for an hour hoping the weather brightens a bit and then we'll set off for home.

Hope you all have a good day  :)

Good morning all.

It's dull and dreary here this morning, but we're not going anywhere today.

Hope you are all O.K.

Merry morning (just), hope you all had a wonderful few Christmas days - can't believe it's all done with for another year....

I've had three very very lazy days which was great; had a stupid early night last night and woke up with all good intentions of having a busy sort out day but so far not done much at all :D It's a very misty and cold day so definitely one to stay indoors and pootle about. I have two kitchen cupboards I want to get sorted so will get going with that shortly.

Have a lovely day all. Vibes for any poorlies xx

Mist keeps coming and going, so we've lit one of the fires :D

Not done all that much, just seem to run out of energy. Swept the floor, washed the dishes, cooked breakfast, washed more dishes and cleaned out the other fire, ready for tonight. Brought a load of wood in and am now going to read

The turkey will wait for another hour or so 8-)

Afternoon (just) everyone!

In Sainsbury's getting a few fresh bits as my sister and her gang are arriving tomorrow, for the weekend :D I'm going for an easy option of dinner tomorrow - sausage casserole with veggies and fancy garlic breads, and I picked up a tarte au citron, and still have nice ice creams and stuff in the freezer! There will be eight of us, so a bit of a squeeze around the dining table, but do-able ;)  Soup and cheese for lunch, when they get here

Love to all xxx

Hi all - still got the lurgy!! :o I've been coughing and sneezing since a week past Sunday - had enough now. I can't take anything 'strong' to ease the coughing on account of my BP meds, so I'm only taking paracetamol and Vicks. It's no fun - we're even sleeping in separate rooms to try and get proper rest - not sure if it's working!

I did 'do' Chrsitmas, albeit a struggle! Tom helped me prep the veg and I cooked our turkey crown on Monday evening, then when Jen came next day, she whirled her magic in the kitchen and we cobbled a lovely Christmas dinner together, which I had a small amount of. We had the family down to open presents during the morning and we (the four of us) ate about 2.30. Kyle wasn't very well either, only his was possible food poisoning, so he's eaten stuff but then is poorly - silly boy!! They stayed till about 5.30, and we had a quiet night at home, rather than go to Donna's as planned. Yesterday my sister came over for the day - we literally sat on our backsides and chatted for nine hours!!! We had turkey sandwiches for lunch and then I made quiche and salad for tea - she so rarely visits, it's great to have her here but I was willing the time to pass so that I could go to bed and close the door on this Christmas!!

Had a lovely morning so far - Tom's back to work, I read for a bit, then after breakfast I had a long soak in the bath, which I never normally do in the day, then I have chucked some laundry in and had a quick tidy round. I need to pop out for some groceries I think but I CBA yet....

It's a lovely day here, sun is out and it's calm - think it's a bit colder than yesterday. We're having the littlies to stay tomorrow night, they've not stayed over for months! So should be good - fingers crossed I can cope!!

Have a good THursday all xxx
