The Weather.

I was just catching up on Sky news and it says there is a yellow warning out for just about everywhere south of the Mersey / Humber line for 1-3 cm of snow from Tuesday and Wednesday. 1-3 cm

However, the BBC, TimeandDate and Wunderground all say it will be dry, bright and very cold everywhere in the UK for the same period.

They cannot all be right.

I'll play it safe. Two trolley loads of bread, one of milk with five packets of milk powder - for emergencies, a new chest freezer for the four hundred and twenty twelve ready meals, two paraffin heaters with plenty of fuel, three pairs of thermal gloves and socks and a dozen hot water bottles.

That should cover things.

So less than 2 inches of snow? It's snowmaggedon!

Every year the Daily Express forecasts that we are about to have the worst winter on record. They've got to be right someday (but they haven't been yet!)

my local radio station is also making such a huge song and dance of it... yellow weather warnings across Surrey and Hampshire; you'd think the end of the world is nigh. It's not as though it's not winter and that we've never had snow before!

I don't take much notice of all this guesswork.

I say, "Wait and see".

We've been driven inside again today.

It's a bitterly cold north wind here on windy ridge
