Morning Ally, morning all :)

Brrrrr about sums it up, although we seem to have dodged the snow, so far :cute: Woke to a thick frost, and sunshine 8-) Out in a while to go food shopping with D, then home to the ironing - Pilates tonight.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally and Kaz. Frosty, foggy and freezing here. Not nice.

Not much on today. We are going up this afternoon to help with Eliza, apart from that I'm not sure. It's certainly not a day for going out much unless you have to.

Have a good day all.

Morning all.

Same weather as Cromwell here. My blue car looks as though a decorator's blanket has been thrown over it. It is going to need quite a bit of work so that I can drive it.

Have a good day and stay warm everyone. xx

Morning everyone

Wet, grey and windy here and will continue until the week-end.

The farmers are loving the rain  but the builders are not too happy

General pootling for us today. I will try and get the cleaning done, now the grippe has gone.

Off out for dinner tonight :Hi: Not been out for a long time, now that the Palma has a new owner and we're not impressed with the food. It's either pizza or everything is grilled  If the Adega do Monte Velha is closed, we'll go to the Coimbra. I prefer the Adega, they do my favourite pork loin dish.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx and stay warm x

Morning all :D

We have heavy frost right now, the sun's trying to come out so hope it doesn't take too long to thaw.

How's your tooth today Jan?

I have my three monthly Hba1c blood test this morning, get the result next Thursday, probably a bit early to see much improvement but here's hoping. Weekly shopping afterwards, M&S then Tesco. Have prepared a casserole for the slow cooker, will turn that on before we go out, always nice to come home to a nice comforting dinner on days like this.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all, it's a really beautiful bright and frosty one here :D

I walked Billy and got back in time to see Joe before he went to get his car repaired. He needs a new exhaust so popped it into Kwikfit for a free inspection and quote - £379. Knowing then what needed doing he got a quote from a local garage, one that John's family have used for years and to supply and fit the exhaust they'd charge £169.

Tom's in work shortly. I'm struggling to do much today as I've got a very painful finger. Billy saw his enemies, the two Boxers who live on our close, yesterday as we walked home and got in a state and managed to twist my fingers in his lead. The middle finger on my right hand is swollen and very tender so I'm having to be left handed at the moment.

I hope your son in law is improving Crommers.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, like Ally I can't believe it is Thursday again. It is dull, damp and windy here but forecast to get a lot worse. Children today, so that's us busy. We booked our London trip last night, including going to see a ballet at Covent Garden. We have never been to the Royal Opera House and we have managed to avoid opera for almost 70 years, so a ballet will be fine  Our seats are so high up in the gods that we will probably get vertigo! Right, better go and tidy up the house before I go to collect Kellie.

morning all

cannot believe that today is the last day of January - the month has flown by

A rather nippy morning this morning -6 when I was in the car waiting for it to defrost. I do though love my de-icing spray; it's one you spray on the night before so the ice doesn't settle rock hard and it's easier to scrape off. But even with this new car I'm struggling with inside frost

Jo, just take it easy with that finger and maybe buddy strap it so you don't move it accidentally. That doesn't sound very comfortable at all - ouch!
Jan, hope you get your lovely pork dish tonight; enjoy

A usual / usual for me. A friend said she'd call me tonight to update me on how she's doing - dare I say I'm dreading it. She just talks and talks and talks (or rather moans and moans and moans) and it's exhausting. Oh well, I'll plonk myself on the sofa with a bottle of wine and that should help me through.

Have a lovely day all x
