Twelve years - finally done.

Some of you may remember the long, unpleasant saga of Edward’s father’s will, the family fallout etc. etc. Well.....today we have signed the very last document in the long running saga! Although the house has been Edward’s for some years and of course we are happily living here, he needed to acquire the freehold which took a while, then when that was done, the property had to be put in our joint names. Now whatever happens to us, the legal title to the house is in proper order for Miss Osc to handle in the future. His father’s 12th anniversary is in a couple of weeks, and of course, the whole family row started way before that. We are both so pleased that all the legalities are finally done and dusted and the whole nasty story is becoming a distant memory (although never forgotten ) We were so lucky to have our solicitor by and on our side through some very difficult times, he was a real tower of strength to us when things got rough, even before FIL died. As a nice final touch, we are being refunded some of the fees paid to the Land Registry......which was well spent today
