SIL update

SIL update, he got home before 10pm. He has a small kidney stone that they think he will pass in the next 48 hours or so. Because he went in by ambulance, he was triaged and seen by a doctor relatively quickly.... but then waited 8 hours for an X-ray  The children were great, we collected them from the child minder and brought them to the pub next door to us for their tea, they enjoyed that. Then I brought them to their football, which they did in heavy drizzle and freezing cold! We brought them home to their own house and put them to bed, Michael got to watch the first half of the Liverpool match with Grandad. At least when they wake up tomorrow, Daddy will be there.

Thanks for the update Osc.

Kidney stones (small or otherwise) sound so painful. :(

Children are so good in the most adverse of situations.....they adapt so easily.

Best wishes to s-i-l. xxxxxxxx

I’ve had one. The nearest pain equivalent is childbirth but at least with that, you have a baby to show for it. With kidney stones, all you have is a little bit of grit

At age 11 I peed blood and was hospitalised on fluids only till it passed through. Two weeks of hell I would never want to go through again.

Things are a bit different today, but it is good to hear that he is home. I wish him well.

I wish your SIL much better soon Osc. My mum used to get them, and I can still remember her crying with the pain. A friend had them, about 10 years ago, and had them dissolved by laser! Xxx
