Good morning Saturday

Postby meriad » 08 Jun 2019, 06:04

Morning all

a very dull and dreary day here, perfect for a lie in really but I'm up early as Karl (my brother) is coming round a bit later to help me with a garden project and I've got to do a few things before he gets here. Not the best weather for it, but as long as it stays dry then we'll be fine. Then, depending on how we get on with the day I'll head on over to the allotment a bit later to do a bit of weeding and general tidying and prepping for more veg planting tomorrow.

Have a lovely day everyone and enjoy whatever it is you're up to

Safe travels today Kaz and family xxx

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Sunny, but we we still have that cold breeze  Warmer today than yesterday, according to the weather forecasts.

Enjoy your gardening Ria. Good you have help.

I'm giving it a miss today and will be the domestic goddess. Grumpy, however, is going to scrape off the surface that I weeded yesterday and then I'll chuck some salt on it and water it 8-) I also have an enormous pile of ironing, so might attack some of that too.

Junior the donkey was a happy lad yesterday, as instead of filling 4 bags of weeds, I kept chucking grasses over the fence for him. Had to be careful, as it's electrified

Maybe going down to the bar later, we'll see.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Enjoy the allotment Ria, it's good that your brother is lending a hand. Jan, lucky Junior!
We had a busy day yesterday, up early to look after Eliza and MrsC didn't finish up there until after 5pm. I did the weekly shop and cooked a bouef bourginione for dinner.
It's raining steadily here this morning. I don't mind rain at all as long as it doesn't go on for weeks on end.
Well, another Queen's birthday and still no Knighthood. Maybe it's still in the post.
Have a good day everyone. :)

Good morning all

It's not a very good one here - lots of rain, but I've no plans for going out anywhere, and plenty of indoor jobs to keep me busy.

Hope you are all O.K.

Good morning, it is cloudy here with some very ominous dark clouds further out to sea. No real improvement in the forecast either  I plan to do h/work today, then we are going dancing tonight.

Good morning all, it's pouring down here. I'm hoping it'll stop at some point as Bill's very depressed due to not going for a walk.

I've got to pop out to Tesco shortly for some rolls for lunch. Shannon's arriving soon and then they're off to Birmingham for the second part of Tom's skills test for his teaching course. It's English today, he did the maths one on Wednesday. Joe's just gone to pick up Amanda and then they're also off to Birmingham for a night out now that she's legal  They're staying overnight as the last train is just after 11 and that's no fun is it

I hope the Queen hasn't overlooked you again Crommers :P

Hope Kaz and the family have a lovely day!

Ria, I hope it stays dry for you. What are you doing in the garden?

Have a good day all :D

Morning all......almost :D

Very changeable here, one minute sunshine, the next rain :?

Hope it stays dry for your gardening Ria.

Hmmm was thinking much the same Crommers

Just taken delivery of a Tens machine, a friend uses one for her back pain and suggested I give it a try. I'm actually not too bad at the moment, but Ed's quite sore, he can have a go first. Have any of you used one?

We did intend to pop into town today, not sure now, will wait to see how the weather pans out. Think it's supposed to improve later this afternoon.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all - it's been raining, torrential at times, non stop for almost 24 hours here. Didn't stop me popping out earlier - when I was in Home Bargains yesterday the lady charged me twice for two items - only £4 altogether but it's my money and I want it back, so first stop was back there to be refunded, and then on to Arnison Centre for a mooch and a large latte in Costa. Talk about large!!! They gave me a mug with a handle at both sides to hold it  Think soup bowl....

Last night was fun! :D :D Ladies from another Aqua class which is at a different pool on a Monday so I'm always at work, but many of them also go to my regular Thursday class including my good friends Anne and Pam, we went to see Mamma Mia, a girl tribute duo of Abba - they were really good. Also got a main course meal and a dance afterwards all for the princely sum of £12! Barg!! Long night too, got there for 7, and didn't leave till 11.45 - aching a bit today as we all did a lot of dancing!! 12 of us on our table, AND 4 of those 12 won a prize in the raffle - Anne and I both won bottles of fizz 8-) I've been hinting I'd like to be included for a while, and so now I'm an honorary go-er-outer from Bishop Auckland Aqua group :D :D

No plans for the rest of today - Chinese tonight and new series of Killing Eve to look forward to 8-)

Hope Kaz and family travel ok today x

Have a good Saturday all, despite the weather!!! xxx
