Good morning Sunday

Good morning all... let me tell you hungry cats are not conducive to having a lie in :D

Wishing all you dads out there a very super dooper happy Fathers' Day, hope everyone has a lovely day x

A rather dull, damp and grey start to the day (again - sigh). Need to head off the hardware store for 10am opening to get a few things and then general pootling about I think. Depending on the weather I may pop by the allotment later this afternoon for an hour or two and do a bit of weeding; no watering required :D :D

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're doing x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Rather overcast this morning  and was chilly first thing, but warming up nicely 8-)

Ria, we have the opposite - we have a cat who either wants to go out or to come inside in the early hours. Hopefully, she'll be sleeping outside (she has a new bed in one of our plants :cute: ) by the time you get here.

Watering done, treating ourselves to bacon and egg later :D

Gentle pootling today, did rather too much again yesterday

BBQ later, trying a new broad bean salad recipe to go with it 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Cats wanting their breakfasts can be quite insistent! A bbq might be too risky for us Jan. It's dry now but we had torrential rain yesterday afternoon and evening.
Beef for Sunday dinner and we have a few coming, which is nice.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it's grey here with a bit of rain in the air. We've gone from a forecast of a dry day to 78% chance of rain.

Anyway, Bill's had a long walk and was happy to see his little Pug friend, Graham  , in the woods. John's gone out for a bike ride, I can hear Joe moving around upstairs (he's on holiday from work) and Tom and Shannon are still in Wales until later. They took the train up Snowdon yesterday.

We'll probably go to Stafford this afternoon, I need a few things from Wilko and that's now our nearest one. The one in Cannock closed a couple of years ago as the shopping centre owner increased the rent too much and wouldn't negotiate a lower amount. Quite a silly move as the large unit has stood empty for over two years now.

Ria, I think we can take the blame for the weather when I think about it. Two weekends ago we adjusted our outside tap and bought a new hose and reel.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Certainly no watering required here either Ria

Jo, Mick and I took the steam train from Portmadoc to Caernarvon, passing Snowden, but it was raining so we couldn't see it :cute:

Enjoy your pootling Jan :)

A family day with a roast sounds nice Crommers :)

Morning Saundra :)

I didn't sleep well so am tired today. I vaguely heard B come in just after midnight, then seemed to catnap after that :cute: Still, Sundays are easy days, we're in a (miraculously) sunny Quays having a cuppa, then home to a saved Eat Well For Less and Inspector Montalbano on the iPlayer 8-)

Enjoy your Sunday everyone :) xx

Afternoon all :D

Yesterday turned out lovely and warm, we even managed to get out to do a bit more garden tidying. Not as bright today, but still dry. If the rain stays away expect we'll have another little session out there.

It's just the two of us today, but E's already had phone calls with Fathers Day wishes plus a surprise bottle of Mount Gay Rum from Zoe. We'll be opening a bottle of bubbly with our roast pork and veggies dinner. Raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud.

Happy Fathers Day :D

Afternoon all, we were up and out earlyish as we were invited to Miss Osc’s for Father’s Day pancakes which were very delicious. SIL and Michael went off to watch a football match and the two of us with Kellie and Miss Osc headed to the Strawberry Fair in the local school. The weather forecast was dodgy and in fact it rained lightly while we were walking to Miss Osc’s. They had set up a lot of the stalls inside as a precaution but the weather cleared up and it has been very pleasant since just after midday. I bought raffle tickets, some books and two slices of lovely homemade fruit cake. Kellie loved trawling through all the tat, but she got books and a few little toys and was happily enjoying a mini cupcake when we left. We’ve had lunch, and Edward is catching up on last night’s golf. I had left out a load of washing overnight, so I must take it in as I am sure it is nice and dry.

Absolute cloudburst here again. Come back summer!
