Just got the blasted laptop back, over a week late

I-m blaming Grumpy for going onto daft videos.

I can-t get into my e/mail account and the technician obviously thought he was doing me a favour by giving me an English keyboard, when in fact I need a Portuguese one, so a lot of the symbols are in different places.

Anyway, we-re back in contact with the world

I-ll just have a quick look around and then I really must get on with getting this place ready for our visitors

Re the keyboard, remember the little icon thing bottom right; you should be able to choose the keyboard there
As for the visitors - rest assured they're not fussed; so take your time and catch up xx

Still, we have a result on the dog noise during the night, at least

Woke up one morning to see two rather large Rafeiros in Antonio-s field, just sat sitting. Next thing I know, Molly has done the fastest runner I-ve ever seen and we have two rather large Rafeiros having a walk around our garden

|Very friendly and the male was a gorgeous dog. No collars, so couldn-t find out who they belonged to. Rang Carlos down the road, as he knows everyone locally and he popped up. Meanwhile, next doors dogs were going mental / and I mean mental / trying to get under the fence, over the fence and just making so much noise.

Lesley came over and got two of them back in the house and said she thought they were |Antonio-s dogs. I mentioned that the dog is still keeping me awake and as we have visitors ssoon, could they please move it to the other kennel.

And she did and we-ve had peace and quiet every night

Turns out the dog / who just sat on the drive, looking at next doors dogs going bonkers, just sat and looked. Not one bark are Jose Felipe-s dogs. So Carlos rang him and his wife came up to take them away.

Sorted the keyboard - I have to go on the Portuguese thingy instead of the English thingy - which is the opposite of what I used to do .

But only do it before you start, not during the session

I had a problem while I was on holiday. I was locked out from access to one of my email accounts. Have emailed and written to the email ISP but they still say it is blocked because of abuse. Tried both on my phone and on the PC on the ship. The main IT guy on the ship could not understand why I had been blocked.

But when I got home went onto my PC and have had no trouble using this email account.

So I was Mr Grumpy No 2 for a while.

Been a bit of a bad week, weather wise We even had rain one morning Got in the pool this afternoon, but yesterday was a no-no

But, we have 45 litres of red wine and 10 of white, plus a few bottles of green and pink wine, as well as tonic water. Hopefully, that will be enough

Favas will be cooked on Sunday, ready for Monday and although we had planned a couple of visits, festas have cancelled them

What really, really annoyed me about the company for the laptop was that I rang on Friday and was told it would be ready on Saturday. So in we go, only for the owner to say that he wanted to do more up-dates and would ring when it's ready.

I rang on Wednesday and was told it might, just might be ready by 7.00 that night. So I left it until this morning.

We also had out 37th wedding anniversary

Went out for dinner to Castro Verde, which was okay - not brilliant, but okay. Last night I cooked steak on my new pan (he spoils me ) but because we got Mitchelle'd at the bar, we had the prawn cocktail tonight - and t'was gert lush
