Good morning.

With temps due to hit 50 degrees :o :o I'm up and outta here early!

A walk then a swim then a coffee. :D

I'll post on another board tomorrow about how my trip to the UK went. There has been alot of soul searching on my behalf and I feel I'd like to 'shake things up a bit'....watch this space.

Later this morning we're off to look at a new car, Comforama for new furniture and Ikea because a) Don loves it there and b) I've agreed to be dragged along with the promise of lunch being bought. Of course there's the added advantage of all those stores having aircon.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Welcome back Ally x

Still got that chilly north wind, but should be a better day than yesterday.

There's shopping and shopping Ally,. New car and furniture shopping is much better than Ikea shopping. What cars are you looking at?

Will do the washing, making sure to put loads of pegs on it  Would probably end up in the Algarve, otherwise

Grumpy will be doing work on the store room and I'll carry on with the cleaning.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two :D

Ally that sounds interesting 8-) :D Happy shopping :) 50° xx

Jan using more pegs sounds like an excellent plan! You don't want your undies flying over the Azores

Meeting Em in town for a cuppa later, no Jaqs as she's on holiday. Becky has taken Pepper to work with her, as she's due her senior dog ( ) check-up.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all. Yes, get those pegs on the line Jan, can't be too careful! Welcome back Ally, you have been missed. 50 c though, that sounds a bit savage. We were all passing out here when we got 37c! Good luck to Pepper with the check up Kaz.
Not much doing here today. Father in Law to his rellies soon then we may go to freeport for a look around and a coffee.
It's a nice fresh morning here; have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone and welcome back Ally :D

50 degrees Ally - that's madness!!!! I'm with you on the aircon stores! But I'm with Don and dare I admit - I quite like Ikea (a lot in fact :D). And looking forward to your other post when you're ready - sounds intriguing x
Jan, lots of peg needed by the sounds of it - and don't overdo the cleaning bit
Kaz, handy having Becks work at the vet ;-) which reminds me I need to book Ava for her boosters. Enjoy your cuppa with Em
Crommers enjoy your day with not doing much - not often you post that type of news :D

I had such a busy weekend - last week I was cat sitting for my neighbour and it whilst it only takes 1/2 hour morning and evening it really does cut into my hours; esp as I'm not home much as it is. Then Saturday I left 9am because I was told to be down Hedge End / Botley (nr Southampton) for 10am only to get there and be told oh we'll only now be leaving in an hour or so as it's chaos as the party venue and its better to stay home with the kids... sigh; I rushed like a loon all morning. Then the party ended at 6pm already and I thought it would be a much later / longer day so agreed to drive and stay over. Had I known all the above I'd have made it a day trip - but hey ho, it WAS lovely to see everyone and catch up with my friends so not all a wasted day. But I still feel like I'm trying to catch up with myself - there just aren't enough hours in the day / days in the week at the moment.

Have this week still and then I'm off for 2 weeks; can't wait!

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

That was a bit annoying for you Ria :(

If only you could have seen me    Think I've been slapped in the face too many times to mention by wet sheets     And that's my exercise for the day, jumping up to catch the washing on the line, it was far too high for me to reach and was laughing so much too   Grumpy stopped work to watch  :cute:

The housework only takes me about an hour, as the house is so small 8-)

Still windy, but warming up. I might, just might, get in the pool later. Not looking forward to getting out, hence maybe not getting in

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast with a few drops of rain every now and then.

Collecting new specs this afternoon. Only got my last pair 10mths ago and the arms have corroded near where they sit round the ear, realised when I started to feel sore . Really impressed with our local Specsavers, took them in and they immediately agreed they needed replacing. They no longer stock the same frame, but happily allowed me to pick out new ones from the same price range as my current ones and although they're a slightly different shape said they would cover the cost of replacement lenses to the same prescription as my current ones, reaction lenses included. A similar thing happened when we moved here, the nose bridge kept breaking on E's and they did a similar thing for him. Specsavers operate under a franchise system and I can honestly say our local branch deserve praise, very impressed with their customer service.

Also need more fruit so we'll pop into our lovely big greengrocer afterwards.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, it's cooler here today and quite bright with the occasional large grey cloud.

Billy had an earlier than normal walk. I've been trying to get him out earlier than usual as there seems to be a lot more people around than normal, not sure if people are walking earlier in anticipation of it being too hot later in the day or if it's because more people are off work at the moment, but just about all of them have dogs on leads. If I see a dog on a lead then I get Bill on his too so I've found that I've been recalling him and putting his lead on every few minutes so he's been unable to have a good run and the freedom that he usually enjoys in the woods and on the common.

Tom's in work later, it's his last week at McDonalds this week after almost 5 years. Joe's got his regular check up at the hospital this afternoon, he's at a loose end this week with Amanda being away on holiday.

Have a good day all!
